Complete and Total oceanfront condo with a lanai (balcony) that almost hangs over the beach. See the ponds below where the turtle and the eels want to come and feed. Let the sounds of the sea make you sleep after a day of sightseeing or relaxation; all bedrooms and living rooms face the sea. Central A/C, King bed, remodeled kitchen, with outdoor dining and beautiful island decor.

Parking, wifi in-condo, & cable TV. Hale Kona Kai is a walk to the Royal Kona Resort, Huggos, and a short walk to the capital, we have a heated swimming pool, an elevator, and a barbecue area.

Hale Kona Kai is a small complex of Three dozen complete oceanfront condos in town but off the beaten track! Located on a quiet side street (75-5870 Kahakai Road) and just a short walk to the village of Kailua-Kona, also known as Kona City. Hale Kona Kai is only a quarter block walk to Honl's white sand beach and a two-block walk to Kona Farmers Market.

Many of the condos are non-smoking. Hale Kona Kai is a smoke-free facility. Each floor has coin-operated washers and dryers for your use. Each condo does not have its own washer/dryer.

This place was clean, comfortable and a perfect location. We could walk downtown for meals and then sit on the lanai and watch the sunset and hear the waves. Having the air conditioning was a plus too. This is our first rental on the Big Island we had air. And it was nice when we went out and about we returned to a cool place.

Condo is very nice with all amenities! Parking is a plus. Kind of a busy little town but within walking distance to restaurants and beach/park. Would definitely recommend the complex but if staying again would go up to the top floor as you can hear the people above you stomping around.

Very clean and was exactly as pictured. Lots of thoughtful touches, beach towels and chairs, coffee and some condiments for our stay. We would absolutely recommend to anyone but for one thing, the comfort of the king bed. It had a much too soft topper on it and made it difficult to sleep at night for my husband and myself. If the mattress was upgraded we would definitely give it a 5 star.

The facility was great, the condo was awesome and would happily stay again in the future. We got to enjoy the sounds of the ocean and watch sea turtles eat from the tide pools from our lanai. The site was quiet as it was off the main road, but was just a short walk to downtown Kailua along Ali'i drive.

The location in walking proximity to restaurants and shops was what we were looking for and the ocean views with the sound of the waves just outside the window were a treat. We didn't have any issues so didn't need to interact with management at all but was nice to have on site office with daily hours, just in case. Mahalo for a great stay.

We are very fond of Hale Kona Kai and after numerous visits in several different units here, we find that 206 does a very good job of meeting our needs. We appreciated the most recent upgrades by the new owners. As in past visits, we found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable throughout our stay and are looking forward to future visits.

The property was great, clean, nice in the unit, great views and the pool was great. Worked perfect for us and our overall experience would have us back for sure. We stayed in three different locations while we were on the island and this was one of the two we liked best (The other one was a house in Kapohoe for reference) Thanks Adeline for being patient early on when we were trying to put this last minute trip together!

We were fortunate enough this year to get to spend 2 weeks on the Big Island. The Big Island is our favorite island and the Hale Kona Kai in Kona is our favorite place to stay. Room # 206 was a lovely place. It looks like it has been updated not too long ago. All of the fixtures and countertops were in beautiful shape. It has a great view. I would highly recommend room # 206 to anyone wanting to stay in the Kona area.
