"The Sandbar was a great location the night before our flight out. It's close to the airport, great beaches, and the chocolate factory.
The room itself was quiet and relaxing right near the beach and had a comfy bed and warm shower with good water pressure.
Our host, Christine, was fantastic! She was friendly, helpful, and even let us check out late so we could go to the beach and come back to shower before our flight.
We would definitely stay here again!"

"Horrible Experience â Never Again
Our stay was a disaster from start to finish. The internet didnât work at all. The first room we were given smelled strongly of human waste. The second room was no betterâmy sister got locked inside the bathroom, and staff had to kick down the door to free her. The food options were extremely limited, tasted terrible, and made my entire family sick with food poisoning.
When we raised these issues, the owner offered us extra time at the property as...
"The address was not correct, it leads us to the hospital, I had to ask for directions. When the men arrived at the bottom of the stairs, they were sitting and never responded to the "hello", maybe because of my complexion, whatever, I didn't try to say hello again after that. The maids was nice and polite. "

"Gorgeous views and a quaint location.The property was spectacular, and we fell in love with the town of Calibishie. Many neat attractions are located near the property ( Red Rocks, Gin Distillery-- walkable from the property and a must visit, Chocolate Factory, air port, beautiful beaches etc.). Be aware of the day of the and time of day when getting fuel if you have your own vehicle. Ultimately, this was a spectacular property!!! We would recommend it to anyone and we would certainly stay again !"

"The views were amazing and the breeze made it just fine without air conditioning. The villa was quiet and perfect and no one wanted to go home. Dominica is beautiful and the people are really kind and friendly. Next time weâll hire a local driver because the roads are not for tourists."

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew weâd be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem."
"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way.
The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "
