"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

"Hallways smelt poorly, carpets are stained throughout the facility. We got the 4 person japanese room (only 2 in the room) and it was adeqaute for us. Outdoor tub included with room can only hold two people, food included with half board was buffet style and wasn't very good, however had a decent selection of western, japanese and chinese cuisines."

"Outstanding service from manager and staffs. Absolutely great place to stay and relax with outdoor onsen in the room. Great locations with many restaurants nearby which can reach by walk. The room is clean, food at the hotel is good quality and super tasty. We’ll definitely come back. "

"Wonderful stay at the Hotel Kurobe. It’s a little older property but well maintained. Staff and meals are excellent. Short walk from the train station but it is uphill. They provide a free shuttle which was very convenient with luggage "

"Lovely traditional stay in Hakuba. Close to a lift (not the main Gondola) and plenty of food and ski rental options. The dinner option was delicious an very generous."
