"The beach was further away than what was described and the “road” was not an actual road. The amenities ended up being less than what was listed, there are no washers, no parking, wifi sucks, etc. the pool was not clean, the food remained the same every day. It’s far from the main road. Towels were never changed, sheets never changed, never sweeper or mopped the room and we stayed for a decent time. Depending on the room the appliances did not work which we didn’t find out until everything went...

"Had a great time at Afissos Blu Hotel. The location is perfect, right by the sea. Just down the street are a number of tavernas and shops. The little village is quiet and picturesque, ideal for a relaxing vacation. The highlight of our stay was our host. She was extremely helpful and accommodating! We were gifted a jar of homemade honey before we left and felt right at home during our stay. Highly recommended! 5 stars!"

The room was a bit tight for a family of four, and the uphill location might be challenging for those with mobility issues—especially older guests. "A fantastic hotel with wonderful, warm & friendly staff. Great communication with the reception team, loved being picked up and dropped off at the port in a golf buggy. The hotel is spotless, cleaned meticulously daily and nice touches in the room (hair dryer, robe, slippers, kettle). Superb breakfast, fantastic pool area and the loungers are ridiculously comfortable too, we even made use of the fairly well equipped gym. There’s only one place we’ll be booking when we go back to Skopelos."
