Stay in Kauai

My husband and I stayed in a very nice and comfortable condo in Kaapi, Kauai for 9 days. It was close to everything, very nice people and nice place where we could see the ocean (and the rain when it would "blow" in. We would stay there again!!

Great location.

The location was awesome. It was steps from a Sandy beach. The condo was very clean and had everything needed to be comfortable. The furniture was a little used, but okay. Centrally located. Close to grocery store and restaurants. Would stay here again.

Great Stay

The unit is perfect, no complaints at all. The location is perfect for hanging at the beach, taking long walks on the paved path or just watching the sun go down. The Pono Kai has a pool, jacuzzi, tennis, shuffle board, ping pong, horse shoes, board games, volleyball, a small golf put green, corn hole and much more.

Excellent Stay!

We had an excellent vacation at this property! The location is great; kind of right in the middle for all the sights AND right on the beach. The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, except a working cooler. The zipper did not zip closed. Not a big deal though. Definitely a good stay!!

Great Property

The unit had a wonderful patio that looked right over a grassy area and water directed behind it. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and drinks at night after a long day of exploring and playing on the beach. It had many accessories in the unit to make our stay comfortable and fun, i.e. boogie boards and a fan for noise at night.

Comfortable Stay

We were pleasantly surprised at all the recreational activities available. Equipment for everything from horseshoes to croquet and board games were available at the pool. The view was just like the photos. The unit was clean and well set up. We had a little trouble figuring out the tv/streaming service.

Pretty much everything was great!

It was clean and a good location. The light in the bedroom never did work, but the lamps did. The cooler in the closet would have been good to use, but the zipper was broken. The other items there to use were good. Overall, a good place to stay.

Beautiful Views, Fantastic Property

This property was exactly as listed. The view from the Lanai was just as gorgeous as the photo, and the interior was clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed to cook dinner every night, and the one time we had to reach out to the host she responded almost immediately and resolved our issue right away. The location was great - we spent plenty of time exploring the bike path and Kapa'a, but had easy access to the north and south for several day trips. Checkin and parking were both a breeze. We would definitely stay here again if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Kauai.

PONO KAI XMAS 2023 FAMILY 4-SOME

Unit is clean with a lovely ocean view. Lanai fits 2 huge rocking chairs + 1 beach chair in closet. King master served 2 guests. Heavy blowing wind & torrential rains first days in Kapaa...typical weather at Christmas. We worked out minor issues ourselves as front desk will only refer you to call owner.

Good not great

The location is great. The property is ok. The entire condo complex is in desperate need of an update. Think “Three’s Company”…. And the pool area is just OK… This unit unfortunately has a very pungent smell of MOLD. But like I said, the entire complex is outdated. I would not stay here again.

Lovely unit

We just spent 6 nights in Kapa'a and had a wonderful stay at this property. It is exactly as described and has everything a family of 4 needs when staying on and exploring Kauai. We wanted something centrally located and with an ocean view, and this was it. We were able to conveniently get to the north and south shores and also spent some time eating, shopping and biking in Kapa'a. We had incredible breakfasts at Olympic Cafe and Kountry Kitchen. Sam's Ocean View is not to be missed for dinner. All within walking distance. We did not cook much at the condo, just a couple breakfasts, but the unit is well stocked. Bed was very comfortable and the AC worked great. I miss sipping my coffee and watching the sun come up. Would definitely stay here again. Very nice owners too who we were lucky enough to meet. Thanks for a great stay!
