"We stayed in the Ammos suite which was beautiful and had direct views of the sea on 2 sides of the property. Staff were very helpful especially the Operations Manager, Vasilis. Rooms were exceptionally clean. It would have been helpful to have things like salt and pepper, foil etc. In the kitchen but the cupboards really are bare. Nearest supermarket is in Sami, 25 mins walk, but there is a great bakery 5 mins away sells big bottles of water in a six pack. There is also a great restaurant called Tou Kokopa a few mins walk away which is excellent."

"The Walnut Tree truly is a little slice of heaven. Our multi-generational family loved every minute of our stay, and wish it could have been longer. Spotlessly clean, so many thoughtful little touches, incredibly helpful and friendly hosts, stunning scenery, beautiful gardens and wonderful pool - what more could we ask for?"

"We had a fabulous holiday in Anassa boutique. Gavriella was very helpful and replied within minutes to any questions we had. It is across a small road to the beach where we loved our morning swims and a morning cup of tea on the benches looking out to the sea & also perfectly located for a 50m walk to the restaurants, bars and the beautiful harbour of Sami. It's a lovely detached property with shade on the terrace downstairs and all-day sun on the balcony upstairs. The air con in both bedrooms was much needed and the ceiling fans were a great help also.Thanks once again Gavriella"

"Lovely location and easy walk into Sami. Sea is a little cold due to fresh water but refreshing! Taxi to Sami from the rank is 10 Euro. Good food shops in Sami. Local coffee shop and taverna in the square were nice. Apartment was very well stocked and nice welcome gift. Air con in bedrooms and living space was helpful.A cooler day meant a walk to an abandoned village in the hills which was nice."

"The accommodation is well-situated, within walking distance of both the beach and Melissani Lake. There are some sports courts just behind the property that seem free to use, and the bakery next door is fabulous. The local beach was one of our favorites; while it might not have the dramatic beauty of Myrtos or Fteri, it is definitely the coolest beach in Kefalonia. The cold water from Melissani Lake flows into the sea here, creating a refreshing cold top layer. We really appreciated this in the July heat, and there is often a fresh breeze, too. The flat is a good size, clean, and well-furnished. The air conditioning works well, though you can't set the temperature below 23°C (which, to be fair, is cool enough). The only annoying bit is that after a while, the temperature resets itself up to 25°C or 26°C on its own. The owners are great, very helpful and even let us borrow a beach mat and a parasol, which was an absolute lifesaver!There's a couple of restaurant within walking distance which we haven't tried. Sami is only 5mn drive or 30mn walk by the beach and offer plenty choices. I'd definitely recommend this place."

"An immaculate and very comfortable apartment that accommodated our family of 5 easily. Despite the heat dome at the time, the air conditioning cooled the rooms quickly and quietly. We appreciated the hotel-style room master switch that ensured the AC and lights were off when we took the key out of its holder by the door. The owner has installed a reserve water tank to ensure there is always good water pressure, and the water is heated by solar panels so hot water is plentiful. There is a new and efficient washing machine on an adjacent balcony, and a large table and chairs on another balcony where it's pleasant to sit out in the morning and cool evenings. There is a good cafe/bar below with pool table, foosball, chess, and other games. The staff are very nice and helpful there, and we never heard patrons in the apartment. It was always very quiet and easy to sleep. The location is ideal: walking distance to a nice grocery store as well as the port with many restaurants and shops and a beach. Other beaches are a short drive away. Beach umbrellas, beach mats, and beach towels are provided. The host is very responsive and helpful: we are thrilled to have been able to stay here and will definitely return on future trips to Sami!"

"Fabulous Villa Katerina! Totally private and in a stunning, quiet spot with lovely views. We loved the spacious living area and well-equipped kitchen, but the outside was so special - we ate every meal on the terrace and used the bbq every night. The heated pool was gorgeous and so much bigger than we expected! Our host Rosanna was very helpful and easy to contact, and she had provided some food essentials when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The daily housekeeping was much appreciated too. Loved it, we’ll be back!"
