The building is a little older and in need of some upgrades. Our shower was an old bathtub and awkward to stand in. The spa and rooftop pool, view and bar are all fantastic. The breakfasts are amazing. Staff was incredibly helpful. Overall we loved our time in Karlstad!

Breakfast was fabulous. Artwork and decor was intriguing. Rooftop pool area was relaxing and scenic. We booked with a third party and were not aware that we had to book our parking ahead of time, so that was unfortunate. One of our two rooms had an issue with the shower drain and we had to make a late-night move: not fun. But the location as priceless. Would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! From the friendly and very helpful receptionists to the cheerful and discreet breakfast waiters to the relaxing roof top pool area. Lovely room with a view, comfy beds, delicious and very fresh breakfast. All of this in a very central location and with safe in-house parking. 10 out of 10!

The hotel seems large and a bit of a maze, but we liked our room, especially with a little balcony to look over the river. The hotel is very nicely situated, right by the river with plenty of walking opportunities nearby. The breakfast had a huge variety as well. The fitness center was a bit cramped unfortunately with limited though decent equipment. Make sure to pre-book parking if needed, though we used an offsite lot and that worked fine. The spa seemed to be busy but we weren’t able to check it out this trip. I don’t know if I will ever make it back here, but if I do I would stay at this hotel again.

Selve beliggenheten var helt topp, med alt av opplevelser og uteliv rett utenfor. Så det er virkelig verdt et besøk av den grunn. Frokosten var flott og alt var ferskt og innbydende. Minuset er vel rommet som vi trodde hadde større seng -siden det stod Queen, men som altså var en seng på 1.40, og navnet kun var romnavnet. Noen i reisefølget fikk heldigvis byttet rom! Hotellet tilbyr parkering, men bare om man bestiller veldig god tid i forveien og det finnes bare 26 plasser. Så det er noe som trakk ned, fordi vi måtte finne annen parkering. Personalet mente de ikke fikk fjernet det som stod om parkering fra nettsiden, men det burde virkelig gjøres! Det er en bar og basseng på taket, men fordi alle andre enn hotellets gjester også kan gå dit, var det nesten umulig å få plass, og bassenget var alltid fullt av folk. Hotellet er gammelt, og det trengs litt oppussing. Ingen aircondition-og det ble forferdelig varmt på rommet. Vi var heldige med været og temperaturen var over 30 grader, så det sier seg selv at man kunne trenge litt avkjøling på et bittelite rom om man ønsker seg det.

Fint rum, särskilt badrummet. Magiskt bad på taket, dock inför en publik med drinkar i sin hand vilket var en udda upplevelse. Galet mycket folk på frukosten, här borde hotellet dela upp det på olika tider. God middag på verandan med magisk utsikt.

Oppholdet ble dessverre preget av at det var ekstremt varmt på rommet de to første nettene. Etter den første natten fikk vi beskjed om at vi skulle få en vifte levert til rommet sammen med renholdspersonalet. Da kvelden kom, hadde den fortsatt ikke dukket opp. Etter to døgn med svært lite søvn tok jeg igjen kontakt med resepsjonen. De beklaget og forklarte at alle viftene var utlånt, men at det kanskje ville bli ledig en etter utsjekking senere samme dag. Jeg påpekte da at vi hadde fått det samme løftet dagen før, og at vi nå knapt hadde sovet på to døgn. Vi hadde opprinnelig planlagt å bli to netter og deretter bestille en tredje natt, men gjorde det klart at dersom viften ikke kom, ville vi avbestille den siste natten og enten finne et annet hotell eller kjøre de to timene hjem. Heldigvis kom viften kort tid etter, og vi valgte derfor å bli den siste natten. Ellers hadde vi et veldig fint opphold. Frokosten var fantastisk, renholdet var bra, og personalet var hyggelige og serviceinnstilte. Det var en del støy utenfra, men hotellet ligger midt i sentrum, så det er å forvente. Hotellet fremstår noe slitt enkelte steder, men Vana Spa med det varme bassenget var helt fantastisk og et stort høydepunkt. Bortsett fra episoden med viften, opplevde vi god service og hadde et

Rummen i den nya delen är trevliga och bra utrustade dock lite krångliga att nå från receptionen då man måste använda två liftsystem. Härlig utsikt över Klarälven. Väldigt bra bemötta i baren. Vi åkte under sommarens hetaste dagar men det mesta fungerade bra. Ingen air con men rummen var tillräckligt svala.
