Relaxing in Karon

Enjoyed my stay at the Grand Sunset Karon. Compact and clean room with only a casual 5 minute walk to the beach and surrounding restaurants.

I loved the pool on the roof, the local people are great, very relaxed and friendly. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful in all instances, always smiling. In Thailand nothing is ever in a rush. I will be going back next year.

Place is a scam - the towel scam is very real. They tried to pull it on us on checkout. Knowing it would likely happen we gave extra thirty minutes to check out and yell at the staff until they turned over our 6,000 baht. Why would I want to steal a face cloth 😂. Stay clear of this place - lots of better options

This place was a disappointment, when we entered the room, the first thing we noticed was stains and hairs in our sheets, went downstairs and asked for them to be changed and we got told that we had to wait till the next day, so my girlfriend asked for a spare sheet and we changed it ourselves, just when we thought it was over, we went into the bathroom to shower and a huge roach came out, bathroom was not clean and it had a smell. I’m all about affordable rooms and I’m deff not expecting a 5 star hotel or treatment, I’m super open minded, but this was terrible. I had booked 2 nights and we were gone within an hr of being there. We did not stay, we truly couldn’t after that experience.

Ett hotell med strålande service

När vi kom till Grand Sunset blev vi väl bemötta redan vid dörren till hotellet. Incheckningen var snabb, och på ca 4-5 minuter var vi uppe i vårt rum. Utsikten var sådär, men vi fick vad vi betalat för. Hotellet i sig är helt okej, en fräsch lobby och rummen var detsamma. Det enda jag kan tycka är att poolområdet behöver rustas upp lite. Inte för att det var förskräckligt på något sätt, men poolen har några år på nacken. Vi var bara där en gång, för havet är väldigt nära. Ca 4 minuter ner till stranden. Frukosten kan jag inte klaga på, det fanns både frukt, äggröra och såna små plättar som man kan ha lite gott på (sirap för den som gillar det för nutella fanns inte om man är den typen av person) Vi fick även hjälp med olika saker som tex hyra longtail båt och printa ut papper som vi behövde. Jag har bara bra saker att säga egentligen, vill man bo nära havet och ha bra service så är detta hotellet för dig.

Hele opholdet var fantastisk. Især personalet i receptionen ydede en fantastisk service. Synes dog morgenmaden var lidt kedelige - men juicen var fantastisk.

The hotel was very clean, had a lovely pool and restaurant on the roof, and the sunsets were spectacular from there. The hotel is in an excellent position for Karon beach just 1 minutes walk away. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I really enjoyed y stay and the bed was so comfortable. The only thing was the shower, which went from very hot to very cold. I didn't report it as I think it is just one of those things.

Hotel is nice especially the swimming pool on rooftop , I love chicken wings which I ordered from hotel’s restaurant staff is very nice and friendly , location is good , close to the nice beach , restaurants, location is quiet and safe as well, the room is small but neatly , bed is comfy but I don’t like the pillow , so hard and high , room is still smell new painting
