Great on pictures

Hotel facilities were lovely for kids if they like the pool. A severe lack of sunbeds however for the adults. Hotel was dominated by rude Russians.

Spacious room, clean hotel. Waterplay facilities are great. Beach with great waves and sand are just across the street. Feet wash taps available at entrance of hotel. Breakfast buffet is mediocre. The bathroom shower water temperature is not constant and alternates between hot and cold about 6 times within 5 minutes of showering.

Whilst the property is not sprawling in the footprint - it has been cleverly designed. It has modern and contemporary rooms and has the essentials close by such as 711, pharmacy, laundry service and food providers. The pool facilities for younger children are fantastic with two areas. Breakfast buffet was great with an air-conditioned area where the food choices were laid out.

A great place to stay for families, waterslides are great but dominate the pool areas due to their size. Lifeguards on duty at the slides and safety is taken very seriously. Food from the restaurant is very average and expensive. There are lots of happy hours at the different bars and the sky bar is well worth checking out. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed. The resort is very clean especially the toilets and the staff are very friendly. Pool access rooms for families very spacious and would recommend booking one of these for your stay. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone with kids. Probably not a good resort for couples due to the amount of kids and the waterslides being such a big part of the pool areas. Breakfast decent enough and heaps of choice and lots of staff.

They don’t provide you enough towels or other amenities unless you ask. They don’t support you proactively for anything unless you strongly request. Facilities and location are still great. Not sure if I want to stay there again.

Regret I didn't stay longer

Stayed here after 3 days at a nearby Avista Grande hotel because it was sold out for the dates we wanted. Am so glad I decided to move hotels and move here. It was amazing. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was plenty. The slides were so fun. Didn't realize I had a pool access room or maybe it was a free upgrade? Location was also awesome compared to the previous hotel. Anyhow, really loved it and wish we had stayed longer.

My review

Good place to stay good location. Would only maybe stay there again. As there was very little water pressure in the shower and a very inconsistent temperature. Also, in the four other hotels we stayed in in Thailand. There was a selection of English-speaking TV channels which were missing at this hotel. Both issues were raised with the front desk. And for some reason, couldn’t be fixed. And also there was no bacon served at breakfast. Overall the place was quite nice. Fantastic swimming pool and the staff were fantastic.

Orbitz and the property staff need to manage their relationships with their vendors.There is a disconnect with what is on the Orbitz website with what is offered at the property. The offering needs to be clearer.

The only reason we booked into this hotel was for the kids pool and kids slides. We were told when booking that they would be freshly renovated before our arrival however this was not the case the kids pool and all the slides was closed. The room we were given back into the pool bar and the pool Access also doubled up as common access for everyone which made our front balcony incredibly busy. Dirty nappies on the floor around the pool. We asked if we could pay to stay for one night then get the refund on the remaining nights but were declined by the manager who never came out to speak to us face-to-face. The room smelt, the sheets were really dirty. Awful. Start to our holiday thankfully we move to a much better hotel.

I have been coming to Thailand almost every year in the past 10 years and Phuket Emerald Resort has been the biggest disappointment. 1. We booked a room for 3 people, still there were only 2 towels. The next day, after the room had been made, we had again only 2 towels. On the last day of our stay, to our biggest surprise there were ZERO towels in the room at 4.30 pm. All the used ones were taken and they were not replaced. I asked staff, and was told that there were no clean towels. How can a hotel run out of clean towels??? 2. The swimming pools are way too cold and dangerous. On the second day of our stay my daughter was swimming in the children’s pool and the sharp side of the pool cut her toe open! She was bleeding in the children's pool, which has sharp surfaces all over. My daughter couldn’t enjoy the beach or the pool after that incident. 4. I also got injured on the second day of our stay. The bathroom door design is terrible. The top of the bathroom door is sharp and pointy. It cut my left arm open as I was entering the bathroom. Swimming in the sea was also over for me. 4. I got bitten by mosquitos while sleeping. Other hotels in Thailand usually offer electric mosquito repellents. 5. This is not a 5-star hotel. I stayed in Phuket in an actual 5 star hotel before, and the difference is day and night. Without the issues 1-4, I would give this hotel 4 stars, however, with the issues, this is maximum 2 stars for me. So, overall, this has been a terrible experience.

With the exception of the slides (and only the slides) there is little to like about this hotel. There are not enough seats around the pool. The hotel in general is best avoided. 1. Staff are totally untrained, and the systems forced on them by management are generally a total failure. You can expect wet towels all the time (system fail), Baggage. Porters not trained to bring trolly, then have to go back and get. Only to then mix up bags and send one of another guest bags to airport with us. Simple things like make up room (tags on door) were missing - leading to it sometimes taking 2-3 conversations with housekeeping to get room cleaned. Something that impacted our boys sleep. 2. The showers and water pressure are totally terrible. One minute boiling hot, then freezing cold. Then no pressure and this went over entire stay. On average i would say i basically had Lukewarm showers. However, as we were there with a group the shower issue was common on the entire hotel. Our toilet needed to be fixed on day 1. Appears the hotel tries to limit water usage using a "water bottle" in the toilet water storage area. I guess a 'geto' fix for the issues. I have a photo - as I couldn't believe it. on Check out the hotel was most concerned with the fact i had booked for extra night (more than needed) to allow a check out of my choosing, that they were trying to hand write contracts (no refund) rather than dealing with the checkout. Basically we didn't get what we paid.

Hadde familierom med pool access. På nett kan dette kun bestilles for to voksne og ett barn under 12 år, men vi var to voksne og to tenåringer. Ikke noe problem, god plass! Ordnet bestillingen via resepsjonen til hotellet. Store rom, bra utvalg på frokostbuffet. Basseng for alle aldre. Flott førsteinntrykk. Noe dårlig renhold av rom. Masse støv under senger og mugg i fugenene nederst i dusjen. Brukte en av hotellets tannbørster til å fjerne noe av dette! Alltid flere ting som var tomt på frokostbuffet, spesielt glass, juice, syltetøy, frukt. Betjeningen sene med å rydde bord og dekke på igjen, men er to etasjer med bord hvis man vil ta med maten å sitte oppe. Flere barer. Aktiviteter, spesielt for de minste barna. Treningsrommet stusselig. Rolig område uten partyfaktor. Mange spisesteder rett på utsiden. Drosjer og tuk-tuk rett på utsiden. Stranda rett over gata.
