Family owned and operated
Cozy, idyllic, old school customer service, chickens, vines, grapes, fruit trees... next to a very impressive ancient Lycian city and probably the most beautiful beach of the world considering it is more than ten miles long with sand dunes and practically empty.

Best hotel choice I made
We were very impressed with the staff and facilities here, and wish we had stayed longer. Masut (the manager) sees to every guest, is incredibly engaging and charming, and the food his mother makes for quests is excellent. They use produce they grow on site, and if Masut can do anything for you, he will. Location is fantastic, being just a mile or so from the best sand beach in Turkey. The area is low-key, as the government declared this a protected zone from overdevelopment, and so you have a fantastic beach to yourself and maybe 100 other people. Like every Turkish hotel I stayed in this trip, the beds are on the hard side, and they only give you one blanket, which is different than the American style of one thin blanket topped by a comforter. Also, the Turks don't seem to believe in fabric softener, so the blankets and towels are hard. I would definitely stay here again, and wish we had more time to do so this trip. Some of the guests mentioned they come here for a month every year, and I clearly see why.

Amazing, Friendly and Unforgettable
note: this is NOT Kas, it is Patara; about 45 minutes away by minibus from Kas... This is the best place we stayed in all of Turkey. The family went out of there way to make us feel at home and even gave us rides by car when we needed them (within reason.) The breakfast was fantastic and I just cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are visiting the Lycian portion of Turkey, you have to stop off here in Patara. A beautiful beach with ruins is only a 5-10 minute bus ride away or a 30 minute walk (2km). Stay here and love it like we did...

Turkish hospitality at its best
Family run pension by an extremely charming family. Nothing is too much trouble. Home cooking in the evening and fresh fruit from the garden at breakfast.

A wonderful family pension
A wonderful family pension! Each room is clean with air conditioning and mosquito nets. The pension is run by a very friendly owner who is always going out of his way to ensure your stay with him is relaxing. His sister cooks fresh food every day using the fruit and vegetables grown from their parents garden. You are equally surrounded by growing fruit around the pension which you are free to take. Mesut (owner) and his pension is designed to be around people with a wonderful personality, charm and warmth. He even took time to drive us to Patara's best spot to watch the sunset.

Home away from Home
We loved staying here. Mesut and his extended family warmly welcomed us into the fold of his family. We had amazing breakfasts served at our convienence and cozy home cooked dinners by the fire in their wonderful outdoor living room. The meals were delicious. After dinner we had lively conversations with Mesut, his father, Mehmet and long term guests who were there to learn Turkish. The Pension is surrounded with roses, fruit trees and green houses. The room was small, at least they were for the three of us, but clean and functional. The town of Gelemis, or Patara, is a very eclectic enclave of hotels, pensions, markets and local houses. A lovely 30 min walk to the beach takes you through the impressive ruins of the old roman city of Patara and out onto a spectacular beach. This place is a jewel and well worth the visit. We will be back!
