"We had an amazing time from landing at the airport. Well organised pickup and drop off service. On reaching the resort we were received by friendly host Laisha who took us on a tour of the property. Very polite and well spoken she gave us a detailed description of the amenities and services. The property is very well maintained considering its one of the first resorts in Maldives.Ranjith our house keeper was very meticulous, attended twice a day and replaced towels and water bottles. We had three elderly people and the buggy service was usually prompt. The catering Somnath and the rest were outstanding with live music which added to our wonderful experience. The waiters Tharun,Omkar, Salman were outstanding in their service. They made it a very memorable experience.Thank you🙏"
OBLU NATURE Helengeli - All-Inclusive with Free Transfers
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms was cleaned daily, food was great, I have a few allergies and they could not do enough for me, cooking me specially meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner highly recommend.
This is the place to come if you love snorkelling not if you want to walk out on a sand bar.
All the staff were great"
"This is a beautiful island and well worth a visit. The waterfront villas were perfect and had everything you could possibly need. Food was excellent, and that included the buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and buffet dinner. There was plenty of choice and it was great quality too. We also used all 4 of the à la carte restaurants which were also excellent.
The beaches were wonderful and the sea was the typical turquoise green as you see in the photos of the Maldives. Pools also looked great, although we didn’t use them.
The island is about 2km in circumference and very easy and enjoyable to walk around. You could request golf buggy transportation whenever you needed it which was very useful.
Drinks and extras were expensive if you were not on an all inclusive package (US$14 for a beer) so that is something to be aware of. Apart from that, a perfect tropical island retreat! 🏝️"

"Dream Vacation Come True: I had been researching traveling to the Maldives for about 3 years. I looked at probably 50 hotels, and finally settled on Oblu Select Lobigili. We were there in July. The weather was mid-eighties and humid. We had the overwater bungalow with a private pool. If you're not sure about the pool - GET IT! We watched sunsets from the pool, and we hung out in the pool when conditions in the ocean didn't allow us to snorkel. We stayed for 1 week, and it was pretty perfect, with a few minor things worth mentioning.
The pros: It was adults only! The overwater bungalow was amazing! Housekeeping kept it clean - they came in the daytime to clean and replenish supplies, and they did a turn-down service at night. The food was outstanding! So many choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our host, Ruchika, was so kind and helpful. We used WhatsApp to keep in touch, which made it so easy. We got 1 free dinner at the underwater restaurant, which was so fun. We got 1 free snorkeling trip to a nearby reef, which was super fun. We got a free massage as well.
The cons: The ladder leading into the ocean from our bungalow was hard to climb up and down. You had to be in reasonably good shape, and I would have preferred stairs. We booked a star-gazing boat trip, but because they needed a minimum of 6 people to take the trip, and no one else booked it, we didn't get to do it. The floor in the bathroom is super slippery after you take a shower."
"What an incredible place! The views, the peace, the sheer beauty, everything was all we wanted and more. The staff are incredibly helpful and the kindest we have ever encountered. Naseem was our island host who felt more like a friend, helpful, attentive and caring. Ravi, the cleaner for our beach villas was faultless! He works so hard and kept everywhere pristine, was always happy and left beautiful decorations on our bed using grass reeds! Puja, our favourite waitress in the market, took care of our family of six at every meal time. There are so many people to thank for our amazing stay! We will be back again one day! We miss everyone and everything about this place. If you are undecided where to go, Joy Island should definitely be somewhere you pick!!"
