Kato Katelios is a seaside village with a sand and shingle beach and is 32 km from the island's capital of Argostoli. Katelios is famous for its fresh fish tavernas and if you like fishing, you can catch your own! This rural setting is a paradise for lovers of nature so if you enjoy walking, discovering rare plants and birds, then bring some comfortable shoes and follow the local footpaths.
The location of Katelios is very un-commercialised, the largest number of visitors being the loggerhead turtles. If you are interested in the protection of the caretta caretta turtles, who love the sandy beaches in the area, take a visit to the Katelios Environmental group, who have set up a small museum and information centre.

"A lovely villa that could offer so much more with a little TLC. Advertised as having oven, grill, microwave, dishwasher had none of these. Very basic kitchen with a fridge freezer and hob. Issue with water at the villa - on three occasions we had no running water from 9pm until the next morning. Electrics kept tripping too. "We had the privilage of staying at this gorgeous little home. The ideal location to explore the gorgeous island of Zakynthos. We did not hire a car, the walk to town and the beach was fine for us. We booked excursions directly from the many vendours in town. A beautfully clean and perfectly equipped property, it suited us, the little pool was a godsend in the upper 30's heat. "A spectacular modern apartment overlooking the south coast of the wonderful island of Kefalonia. We had all that you could wish for from this villa. Our host, Nikos, was really welcoming giving us local recommendations, showing us around the villa and gave us 24hr contact info. We even got a gift of local wines and delicacies as a birthday treat. I can not recommend this place highly enough. A great place to stay!"

"The property has phenomenal views across the south coast of the island and the sunsets are magical. John and Claire are the kindest and most helpful hosts we have ever come across. The villa is very well appointed and furnished and set in a hidden location. A car is essential if staying here and you have to manage the steep descent to the villa although you can park at the top if you don't fancy the descent. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this villa. "
