"Very disappointing stay. This photos show a pleasant hotel with sea views. What we had was a view of the sea with a very ugly old half built building obscuring the view. The receptionist was surly, abrupt and generally unpleasant. No welcoming smile, I felt like we were a burden. The room was full of mosquitos. The bed was a bit like sleeping on a blanket covered rock and only 2 pillows. Breakfast the first morning... my husband is a diabetic and is not able to eat any of the cakes and pastries offered. there was only one piece of dry looking cheese left. This is not usually a problem as most hotels will be able to offer something else, such as eggs or omelette. So I asked the person at the desk (same guy as checked us in) if there was any cooked or other savoury food. the answer was ... 'no'. not even, I am sorry but we don't have anything else. So, having paid €11 each for breakfast (for 2 days) we had breakfast elsewhere. "

"This apartment exceeded our expectations. Not only was it exactly as described and as the pictures showed, it was better in real life. Very spacious lounge area with comfy seating. The kitchen has plenty of equipment and a large Fridge/freezer. Super bathroom with a washing machine, and all the powder/conditioner needed to enable us to wash most of our clothes before we left. The views from the massive balconies was stunning. Being riggt in the town centre you can walk to loads of cafes & tavernas very easily. Right opposite is a bakery/cake shop that sells the most amazing ice cream. Our host, Despoinia was super efficient, explained everything we needed to know and was very ea sy to gef hold of w hen we had a question. Overall a very nice place to stay and we would not hesitate to stay again and we are very happy to recommend this apartment."

"A lovely house for a relaxing holiday. No road noise, lovely views (mountains, sea, sunset). Many beaches within easy reach, with decent main roads. Makri Gialos was better than we expected for shopping, with a butcher and fruit & vegetable shop in addition to the mini markets (which sell most essentials) and cafes for treats. Nice restaurants such as Dragon's Cave, Diaskari, Kami, several along by the harbour and more all along the coast. Also Roman and Minoan ruins to add a bit of culture. The night sky is awesome. George answered all our questions and is a lovely, kind host. Efcharistó!"

"The house itself was perfect for even the large group of 12 of us. There is many things to do in the town itself and the local scenery and beaches were lovely. As my whole party was under 21 we could not rent a car so we rented bicycles from the town and I can not recommend this enough. Overall had an amazing holiday👍"
