"The hotel was very clean, pretty modern looking, but not sure if it’s a new hotel, but there was a smell of “construction.” Having renovated houses, the smell in the hallway/room/stairwell is what that reminded me of. Otherwise, the hotel room was spacious and clean. I do wish there was a holder for a hand towel in the sink/vanity area. The staff was great, and they had our luggages delivered from the airport already in our room when we checked in. In fairness, this area of Japan is remote and a car is needed to get around, but there is a supermarket within a few minutes walk from the hotel. "

"We had a very good night Sansuikan Kawayu Matsuya. They share hot springs and the restaurant with a nearby hotel. Hot springs are the absolute standout: fantastic! Food is good and plentiful. Our room had a brilliant view. All the rest is okay, although the exterior of the building is not nice."

"Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. The set breakfast was a standout—grilled fish with a beautiful spread of side dishes. Clean and relaxing onsen with both indoor and outdoor options. Room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the bay. Bonus: separate toilet and bath/shower setup, which was convenient."
