Great seafront with waves 30 metres away but the 8 Dec 2025 earthquake (and advisory for tsunami) struck when we were preparing to rest. Had to walk far to get to mainroad. Have to balance between seafront living with safety."

We were disappointed that we could not order dinner, as it looked fabulous on the website when I booked and was one of the reasons we chose that ryokan. However, we found a great restaurant close by. We will recommend this ryokan to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Hotel’s buffet is good. But if you are staying for more than 1 night, you might not want to pay for half board as the spread for breakfast and dinner doesn’t change. Otherwise, hotel is clean and comfortable. You need a car to move around though as it is not close to town centre."
