"Hotel was close to the airport and was very clean. We specifically picked this hotel because they offered free breakfast and free airport transport. The breakfast was great. The transport from the airport to the hotel was also great. Our only negative with this hotel was with the hotel transport back to the airport. We made arrangements with the front desk the night before. It seems that they forgot and in the end they ended up calling a taxi for us that we ended up having to pay for."

"The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helped us with local transportation and tockets to the Blue Lagoon. Breakfast was wonderful, as was getting to chat with the hosts and other guests. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Iceland."

"Easy location near the airport and halfway closer to Blue Lagoon than from Reykjavik. Small rooms, but very comfortable and have everything you need — including a cute little snack bar for breakfast in your mini fridge: yogurt, juice, apples, bars, coffee/tea, etc."

"Stayed here for only one evening prior to departure from Iceland. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was nice and comfortable. Restaurant was a bit pricey, but expected. I was surprised how good the meal really was. There was a walking path alongside a quaint boat harbor and up along the cliffs overlooking the ocean. These cliffs were lighted in a strange way at night, but was very cool. All in all, it was a very quiet and peaceful location and I enjoyed my brief stay. It's literally 5-8 minutes from the airport, but no airport noise. "

"Reasonably priced hotel near the airport and about 45 minutes from Reykjavic. We stayed three nights. Self check in and out, put your room key in the slot to turn on the electricity. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the black out curtains (we were there in June) worked well. Nice peninsula for walking and bird watching. Easy to get to Golden Circle and the south coast. We've stayed in other hotels with this model that have a concierge closet and cell phone access to staff, these things would have been handy if there was a problem, but we didn't need to access anything during our stay. If you're on a budget this is a great place to stay! Spend your money on food instead :) "

"We arrived late. Instructions for check-in were easy. Room and property were clean. We did not encounter any staff, which, was sort of nice. We stayed at two 4 star hotels on our vacation. The Blue Viking was far better than both. Better beds and cleaner. Was sort of like staying at your Aunts house. If I revisit Iceland, I would definitely stay again. Thank you for your patience with all my questions. "
