The end cottage of a terrace of three, in a quiet part of Keith, an agricultural centre on the Whisky Trail, it is approximately 15 miles from the sandy bathing beach at Cullen on the Moray Firth, famed for its sunshine and mild climate. Golf and public swimming pool, 1 mile. Guests also benefit from access to the well-maintained Isla Bank orchard. An ideal holiday base. Shops, hotels and other facilities within 400 metres.

We both found the cottage to be very nice very clean however I only followed would be for a more comfortable settee but that was our liking not everybody else’s taste is the same otherwise the cottage was fantastic and also what really impressed it was the welcome pack of milk butter bread et cetera in the fridge as well as a few items in the cupboard when we arrived the gentleman who gave us the key was very friendly and very informative and we couldn’t find him neither on a whole week to go back there again Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage for a relaxing break.

Lovely cottage for a relaxing break. Very spacious and warm. Beds comfy and all creature comforts provided. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room. Cottage in a quiet location with the train station and shops within a short walking distance. The welcome pack and flowers were lovely. Very helpful hosts, even when the fridge freezer broke down a replacement arrived the same morning. Looking forward to returning.

In general we didn't dislike our stay at the cottage.

In general we didn't dislike our stay at the cottage. There were just a few things we were not happy with. In the bathroom is a skylight that is more than dated. Even if it is not opened, there is constantly paint and dirt flaking down onto the washbasin, which is not nice when your toothbrushes lie there. On the other hand there is no ventilator you could use after your shower, so you have to open the skylight and then even more dirt and old paint flake down. In the living and dining room the windows are painted shut, so we were unable to open them at all. I don't understand the reason for that. In the bedroom with the three beds you can open the window but it won't stay open on its own. A fact we very much regret because we like to sleep with an open window. The kitches is ok. All in all the carpets and furniture are dated and well used. The location is definetely on the positive side. Good accessability of the Cairngorms National Park the coast and the Speyside. Keith itself has everything you need for a stay in a self-catering cottage: a Tesco, petrol station, nice deli, two good bakeries, a distillery and several cafes. The welcome package left by the caretakers was a nice touch. We were able to get a reduced price for our week but we will not return.

We were made extremely welcome (incl. a generous welcome pack of food). The warmth, and general comfort of this extremely spacious house is first-class, with every kind of equipment and appliance you could think of. It isn't the most modern of properties, and some might think the decor old-fashioned - which it is. At the same time - and I cannot overstate this enough - this house/cottage delivers. Looking in the visitors' book, many people agree with this assessment - a number of whom have come to stay again.
