Rest and relax here! Beautiful, cozy little cabin in a rustic, country setting. Watch the sun set over tranquil fields and enjoy deer and other wildlife. Remodeled in 2021 with wood covered walls, cedar wanes cote, and pine flooring in the living room area waiting for you to enjoy.

This is an awesome place very private clean and well maintained plenty of space and well stocked perfect for a romantic weekend or an unwind in nature with the family. It even had some homemade cinnamon rolls waiting for us upon arrival and they were delicious. We had such a great time and will be staying again

Great stay

My wife and I needed a weekend to get away and this was a great place. It Is secluded and far enough away from the main house. The inside was immaculate and very cozy, and the pellet stove welcomed surprise. Highly recommend.

Rustic Retreat Escape

Property was very clean and neatly organize. We had everything we needed and the morning orange juice and cinnamon bun was delightful. We enjoyed the peace of the property and the ability to enjoy night sounds, morning birds and escape the city in a cozy retreat. Property was very clean, spacious for a couple and we hope to be able to enjoy a visit again. Look for the Tobacco Trail bike rides and nature walks within the area.

Middle of nowhere. Pure bliss

This is a wonderful little cabin that forces you to unplug and relax, spending quality time with family. It's nestled in the beautiful, rural Virginia countryside.

Perfect Getaway

We highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway from it ALL. Perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Very clean. Beautiful cabin. Cinnamon rolls are something to write home about!!!

Place was spotless , very quiet area tucked in the back surrounded by soy bean fields . If you’re looking for a place to unplug yourself from the world this is it . Still close enough to stores an some really good places to eat

The best stay ever.

It was the best sleep I ever have gotten... It was nice and cozy you really felt at home.. I like being able to open up the door and just seeing a nice open space field and how quiet it really was.

Private Sanctuary

I enjoyed the privateness and seclusion as well as being close to town. There was plenty of wildlife. I saw a few deer and lots of turkeys. The house had everything I needed

Loved it.

This is a wonderful, quiet cabin, just the perfect size for two. It was very clean and neat with everything we needed right at our fingertips, with the added surprise of sticky buns and orange juice in the freezer.

Hidden Gem

I had an extended stay at the Rustic Retreat. This hidden gem was the absolute best vacation rental. The peace and quiet & beautiful scenery blessed me with the tranquility I needed for my visit. Carlin & Robin are just the sweetest couple and were very responsive to my needs. The Rustic Retreat will definitely be #1 on my list when visiting my hometown in the future. Mothers Day weekend trip

What a blessing!! I will cherish the memories of this cabin for a lifetime.Quiet, peaceful, secluded!! A well needed rest from the hustle and bustle of life. Looking forward to be able to return. The hosts have gone above and beyond on their Rustic Retreat. Well maintained, true cabin feeling. The only thing we regret is not booking a longer stay!!

Lives up to its name

What a cozy, rustic retreat! It was spotless and much larger than I expected. The small details were lovely. Between the wood plank surrounding and the decorations, it was perfect. The view from the deck was so peaceful and I loved the choice of seating on 3 sides of the home. I wish I could have stayed longer! I love the pellet stove and now want one! The homemade cinnamon buns were a wonderful surprise! Thank you for your great hospitality!

Great getaway

This is our second time staying at this wonderful hidden place. We love the open fields and gazing along the tree lines. We have enjoyed sitting out watching the sunrise and sunset in the cold mornings and evenings. We get to warm up in this cozy warm cabin while sitting next to the heater. It has a very spacious main area and the bedroom is plenty big. It is so quiet that you actually get to unload and unpack the stresses of a busy life. There are some wonderful small towns to visit nearby. I do recommend bringing some board games, cards, or just a book to keep you occupied and let your mind relax.

The getaway

I was impressed by the size of the cabin and the appearance. There were a few areas of cobwebs and dust build up. And a damaged wall plate near the front door. The experience was fantastic except for the random people that would pull up to the cabin with no warning to go hunting. I thought that was very disrespectful and concerning at the same time. When it got very dark outside these people who were hunting would get picked up right outside the cabin. Again no warning other than bright headlights shining on the cabin. We did feel our privacy was violated since there are no curtains or blinds. We could not see out even with the pouch light on, they could see us. We couldn’t enjoy the main living area after that incident. We had to stay in the room once it got dark. Not sure if I would come back.
