View from the top of Black Mesa. My friend Josh and I hiked and climbed up the north side of the mesa. It was probably a rise in elevation of 800 feet. We crossed over the top of the mesa to take this picture on the south edge. It shows really well how the mesa is like a mountain with the top leveled off.

Kenton, Oklahoma is one of the most unexpected towns in the state. The 2010 census tells us that Kenton has a population of 17. This store, The Kenton Merc is opened irregularly. If you're lucky to blow through when they're open, drop in to check out the fossilized mammoth tooth and the baby rattler they keep inside.
From the Black Mesa Nature Preserve. The highest point in Oklahoma.
