"We had a wonderful stay at Aka Lodge!
From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of. The staff picked us up at the pier and drove us directly to the hotel, which is beautiful, modern, and very comfortable. Our room was excellent.

"We came to this hotel and this beach because it is known for sea turtles. My wife and I took turns snorkeling in the bay directly from the beach. We did not do a boat tour and talk to anyone about their location. On the second day while I was snorkeling in 5 feet of water approximately 30 feet from the beach I saw the first turtle eating off the ocean floor. I was startled to see it so close and was in awe of how beautiful it was. I assume the turtles are used to seeing snorkeling humans...
