"Came in the off season, and it was a complete bait and switch. Actual hotel was closed (including pool and restaurant (so no breakfast)). Placed us next door in tiny apartments. Manager gave us the key and left the property. First room had a broken toilet seat so moved us to another one. Staff spoke no English and didn’t understand that we need password for WiFi. Blanket on bed was wet. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left the next morning."

"The kitchen and bathroom were outdated. Lots of bugs on porch that were coming into room and vent in bathroom. Mattresses to twin beds pushed into one were very hard. Pool was very clean. Plenty of parking across busy street onto beach. Staff was nice."

"we where trying very hard to find something that we can rated with less then excellent but for 11 days but we where unable to find . From location, to all facilities available for use everything was great. Strongly recommended to everyone who would like to enjoy all that south part of Crete could offer. "The villa is beautiful. It is very well equipped with everything we needed - we really couldn't fault it! It's very spacious, with seating areas outside at the front, back and on the balcony, so there's always a sunny spot (or shady spot if you prefer!). The beds are very comfortable, and all the bedrooms have air conditioning so it's very pleasant even in the height of summer. The pool is a great size and provided so much fun for us all. Stelios, the host, is so friendly and helpful!The village of Sgourokefali is lovely and quiet, and the locals are very friendly. It has a very small minimart with basic groceries, and a bakery selling fresh bread and delicious fresh pastries, so you don't really need to leave the village! Episkopi is a 30 mins walk away where there are more shops including 2 larger supermarkets, a taverna and a lovely (and very reasonably priced) restaurant which we ate at quite a few times.We decided not to hire a car, but on the days we did leave the village, we used a taxi, which cost between 40-60 EUR each way to places like Knossos, Heraklion and Water City. It was easy to get a taxi at Heraklion airport when we arrived, even though there were 5 of us. The same taxi driver gave us his number and we messaged him on Whatsapp when we needed a taxi during our stay, and I'm sure others would do the same.We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone!"
