Beautiful views & a lovely back garden. Comfortable beds & all the facilities we needed. Close to town & many fantastic walks from the doorstep.
We couldn't ask for more, perfect.
The property is just out of town and has some great views from the rear window

We stayed at Peel Wyke during the first week of November.
We stayed at Peel Wyke during the first week of November. The house was in a great location only being a 5 minute walk into town and the view of the fells from the back of the house was amazing. The beds were very comfortable as well. As described the drive way was quite steep but it was not a problem as we just parked on the road outside. The only thing the house lacked was a dryer but this was not a major problem either as we used the radiators to dry the things we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second year booking Peel Wyke and we were pleased with the cottage again apart from one or two things that could do with upgrading. The carpet in the lounge and twin bedroom could do with a clean. The radiator in the bathroom needs cleaning and painting.
Clearer heating instructions would help for those not used to the kind of boiler that is there.
I had to pull the dressing table out to retrieve something that had fallen down the back and I found dirty tissues and a great deal of dust etc there which looks as though it had not been vacuumed for some time.
Last year I reported that the door leading outside from the dining end could not be opened. This had not been attended to, which meant we could not have fresh air coming in there on very warm days.
We hope to come to Peel Wyke again and would recommend it without hesitation to friends. The above comments are not criticism rather notes to make it even better. The beds are very comfortable however the whole place just needs a little more love.
The views from the dining room picture window are amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Peel Wyke.
We really enjoyed our stay at Peel Wyke. It was the perfect place for us with 2 children. It is within a short walking distance from the Keswick town centre and its many facilities. The bungalow was neat, tidy and welcoming. The view of Latrigg from the dinning room window is spectacular. The beds were very comfortable. We shall return in future. Thank you.

Excellent value for money, could do with a little bit of modernisation but we would still visit again! Better quality outdoor furniture would be appreciated

Only issue was that the house was rather cold when we got there, as if the heating had been off all of the previous week. Luckily the house and the weather warmed up during our week.

A very pleasant, comfortable bungalow with good views across to the fells.
A very pleasant, comfortable bungalow with good views across to the fells. Pleased to find plenty of pictures on the walls (including local scenes) and a good variety of books.
The TV was difficult to switch on (despite instructions about pressing "on" hard). Surprising not to find a set of cups and saucers, only rather small mugs, and the saucepans were either very small or very large.
Despite these points, we would stay there again: it had a good feel to it.
