Lovely peaceful location, minutes outside of Keswick
Wow, what a stunning property!
Magnificent views of the fells in a very peaceful location.
The neighbours were extremely friendly :) (field of sheep from all windows)
Once we had worked out how to walk back from Keswick to the cottage, (wasn't intuiative at first with the busy bypass) we realised that we could leave the car at home.
Small improvements, but these really are small ...
Towel hook/holder in the bathroom (not en-suite) nowhere to hang wet towels
Wi-Fi could be improved, but with the beautiful views, who needs it!

My Happy Place.
My 3rd time at Langrigg so that speaks for itself. It ticks all the boxes for a fantastic family holiday for all ages. We had an amazing week of good weather with spectacular views from the patio from sunrise to sunset. A tranquil escape yet Keswick is a 20 min walk, with lots to see if you wish to.
Fully equipped kitchen with up to date appliances and everything in working order.
I will be booking my next visit soon!

Lovely Lake Stay
We had the pleasure of enjoying this new holiday property. Everything has been thought of for a relaxing, comfortable stay and more.
We would stay again and highly recommend to others.
Although next to the Water Treatment Works you cannot see them from the property so do not let this deter you from booking.

Short stay
What a beautiful location, amazing views from this cottage. A short drive into Keswick town centre, however don’t let that put you off. The peace and tranquility is well worth the 5 minute drive. We will happily book again.

Loved our stay
The cottage was perfect for us. Good location to get into Keswick and travel out from. Beautiful views of surroundings including Catbells! Modern kitchen with everything we needed and good lounge area.
Only downside was quite a few flies/midgies outside, but these didn’t cause too much of an issue for us.

A week at Langrigg Cottage
We enjoyed our stay. We were 4 adults and a 3 year old so there was plenty of room.
The views were lovely, especially from the terrace, weather permitting.
It was warm at all times and our wet weather clothing dried quickly in the utility room.
The kitchen was well set out in a large social space.
Although the cottage is close to a sewage works, there were no adverse smells and we appreciated the isolation and wonderful birdsongs. Overall, it was a good location for us.

Wonderful views
The view from Langrigg Cottage is stunning, a week in February saw an amazing array of weather and light conditions making the fells look so beautiful. The cottage was very comfortable plus lovely and warm with under floor heating throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed, including decent wine glasses and plenty of room for food storage! The lack of light pollution made for great dark skies at night unfortunately we didn’t get see the aurora but must be great spot for it. We definitely love to stay again and can highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location.
We stayed at the cottage for a week. It was a beautiful well equipped cottage with uninterrupted views all the way round. Looking out of every window you saw mountains, fields, sheep and cattle. It might be located by the sewage treatment plant but you cannot see it or smell any odours from it. I would definitely recommend a stay at this cottage.

Langrigg Cottage
Great modern property well equipped and comfortable. A short walk to the nearest pub, The Pheasant, care to needs be taken crossing the A66 to the footpath and about 5-10 minutes further into the centre of Keswick. It may be worth mentioning the proximity of the Water Treatment Works to the property but it caused us no issues whatsoever.

Stunning location with incredible views
We enjoyed a fantastic week at Langrigg cottage in April 2025, helped by the unusually hot weather. The cottage provides a sense of remoteness whilst being just 5 minutes from the centre of Keswick. We regularly visit Keswick and this is by far the best location to date. The outside area makes the property, with a lovely patio, bi-folds overlooking the field where you can look over to cat bells and portinscale, we added the extra if a hot tub that got a lot of use! There is a modern kitchen with everything you need, more than enough space to relax and read, the small snug is a great option. The bedrooms although smaller than some other cottages are fine and benefit from their own bathrooms and views over the fields. The water treatment works is well shielded and unobtrusive.

Beautiful property
We stayed at Langrigg Cottage for a week at the beginning of June.
Wow, is all I can say about this lovely house.
Stunning inside and out, with equally stunning views.
We enjoyed many a happy hour sat on the terrace watching the wildlife.
The house us down a long lane, so you are lovely and secluded which is marvellous.
No issues with the water treatment being next door.
Also a nice touch from Keswick Cottages providing a cleaning pack and also Tea, Coffee and biscuits.
We would definitely stay at this beautiful house again.

Stunning property. Stunning views!
What a fabulous property! Superb and well equipped kitchen. Lovely spacious dining and living area. The views through the bifold doors is absolutely stunning! We enjoyed watching folks climbing up Catbells. Lovely bedrooms with nice shower/bathrooms. The shower room off the double room at the front of the property had a bad drain smell though. The snug was such a great place to curl up with a book looking up occasionally to the wonderful fell views. The young bullocks were entertaining when they came up close to the wall (and it always made me laugh when I looked up at the kitchen window to find one staring in at me!) My only reservation is that the outside area isn't really secure for dogs (gap under the gate that can be crawled through and low walls that can be jumped over) Thankfully we had taken a long outdoor lead with us as a precaution (I didn't fancy running around a field of young bullocks to retrieve the pooch!). The location was perfect for exploring Keswick and surrounding areas. I can highly recommend a visit to the Bassenthwaite Train restaurant carriages ... superb food! Oh .. and despite the property's close proximity to the water works .. there was no bad smell outside. This is a beautiful property (I could happily live here!) and I fully intend to return.

Winter break
We had a perfect few days away at Langrigg cottage and have already booked to return later in the year. The cottage itself is located only 10 minutes walk from Keswick and we enjoyed the walk into town and the surrounding areas.
The cottage had everything we needed, was spacious and very clean, the bed was really comfortable with clean fresh linen and the towels in the bathroom all brand new, quality fittings all through the cottage and a well equipped kitchen.Nice little welcome pack with tea, coffee and milk saches along with some biscuits.Lovely outside space which was almost dog secure, our little fella managed to scramble under the closed driveway gate,so just watch out if you have a small explorer .
The views from the lounge was nothing short of breathtaking. There was some nice books and games to play should you get bored of the views! We didn't. The only thing I would add to the property is a coffee machine. But that's just personal preference. Can't wait to return.

Great Find
We had a couple of issues with the fittings and cutlery but this didn’t spoil of enjoyment of this cottage with every comfort we could wish for. Fabulous views too. We have booked again next year. Lounge lighting is rather dim but there are lots of lamps.
Warning: midges +++ so keep windows closed after dark!!
Our party comprised 4 adults and a small dog. The cottage has mountain views from every window. It is spacious and clean. Our only neighbours were sheep! It is an easy walk into Keswick, on a good footpath. We loved our stay and hope to come again.

Holiday in Keswick
What a beautiful bungalow and wow those views. No fault found apart from the washing machine being listed as a washer/dryer, and it was only a washing machine. A few extra like cleaning products and cling film would have been useful.
Overall an amazing holiday.

Hidden Gem
Stunning cottage, with stunning 360 views. Location is remote enough to feel at one with nature, but only a 20 minute walk to the beautiful town of Keswick. We hardly used the car all week, choosing to walk everywhere and take in the scenery. Highly recommend booking the hot tub as an optional extra, nothing better than a relaxing soak after walking all day. A truly exceptional modern cottage with everything you could possibly need. Had a couple of very slight issues, however these were immediately resolved. Highly recommend this wonderful place in its stunning location.

Peaceful & Private
This was our second holiday here & we love it. Party of 6, my parents in their late 70’s, our 15 & 12 year old sons, myself & my husband (in our 40’s). The property is tucked away amongst fields of sheep, which are a delight to watch in the morning whilst having coffee sat on the terraced area & soaking in the wonderful views. The kitchen is superb, a lot of storage space & just about everything that you could possibly need (a coffee machine would be a good addition but we took our mini Nespresso machine with us). The cooking facilities are immense, double oven, a warming drawer & a separate hob area. Full size fridge & freezer are perfect for a party of 6 and the dishwasher got used everyday. Huge dining tables which we used regularly for family meals. The open plan kitchen, dining, living room areas are set up perfectly, it just flows so nicely. The bedrooms are well thought out & nicely decorated with plenty of storage space, King sized beds would be an improvement as there is plenty of room in the main bedrooms to accommodate. Main bed was so comfy, slept so well every night, the en suite is immense (walk in shower would be an improvement to this, to accommodate less mobile guests. We get to stay in the main bedrooms instead of my elderly parents as they cannot use a shower over bath due to mobility issues). 3rd bedroom is perfect for our sons & plenty of storage in there too. The snug area is a delight & so peaceful as it is at the far end of the house, often found my parents relaxing & reading in there (curtains would be a welcome addition to keep the sun out on the sunny days). Outside area was perfect for our puppy to explore & watch the sheep. It is a lovely half mile walk to the main road, so perfect for us taking the dog out in a morning or evening.
The only negative for the property is the sofas. They look amazing & they are huge so plenty of room for us all but they really are not very comfortable to relax on in an evening, found myself shuffling around a lot just trying to get into a comfortable in an evening & sliding down on them.
We love this accommodation & will be looking to go again next year.
