"The owner has to do the school run but leave her number on the door so you don’t have to wait long. She is really professional, polite and welcoming. Room was comfy and quite with a fridge and microwave in room which is a bonus for longer stays. No parking but a car park is situated 2 mins away and £6.10 for 24hrs is a good rate. "I was staying in the area for 3 days with work. I was considering a chain hotel but saw this on Hotels.com. It was reasonably priced and close to where I was working. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It was a lovely little self contained cottage whee I could finish work and shut myself away from the world. There was a microwave and kettle although no oven or hob but there is a decent pub a few yards down the road for food. A lovely quiet oasis in a busy, frantic world"

"Fran is a wonderful host and crammed so many helpful little touches into the Old Stables, from a full set of guides and pamphlets to local activities to a comprehensive welcome package of essentials such as milk, water and cereals. It's nice to find a place to stay that even has sauces and salt and pepper - much overlooked by other property owners. "Not very well organized with passwords etc. When I arrived, I had to wait for ~10-15 minutes for getting into the room because it was not ready. Location is not confortable. It is ~2 km from the city center and the railway station on foot. The bathroom is shared with others, but in my case it was clean and proper."
