Amazing Location

This is a great little house if you want to explore Duval and it's easy to get to most of Key West. Our only issue was with the cable and wifi, and that was only an issue because we had my dad with me who is older and didn't want to go out at night. If you just need a place to relax, eat, and sleep this place is perfect and we would definitely go back.

Perfect Place in the Heart of Old Town

So glad we picked this place! Everything was clean. The A/C was cold. The beds were comfortable. The private parking right outside the front door was invaluable. I honestly can't think of a single complaint. Will definitely stay there again.

Location location location

At the corner of Duval and Truman this house is the perfect distance no matter which way you want to walk down duval. 10 minutes from the action and 5 min to the water on the quiet side of the island. Room cleaners were helpful and provided extra towels when asked. The house was very clean when we arrived. The AC was ice cold. The rooms were a little tight but it’s an old house and that is expected. I would recommend this rental to a friend looking for an affordable stay in key west.

Situated within a short stroll to shops, restaurants, and bars, this rental is a convenient choice. The reserved parking space is a major plus, especially since parking options nearby are limited. Was within walking distance of Hemmingway House, Beach, south most point and good resteraunts. Only reason not a five was outside noise being so close to revelers made a sound sleep difficult. Yet what the hay I was here to have fun during the day.

A quaint, no frill and clean place to hang your head and enjoy Key West. The location is great as it is 30 steps from Duvall St and just around the corner to Hemmingway’s home and the light house. Please note there is no closet in one bedroom and no dishwasher, in case you do a lot of cooking. Management was available immediately when needed.

Great location

We were wary after reading reviews about the mattresses and noise. We slept comfortably. You’re right off Duval which is the beauty of this place. Don’t expect utter silence. Unit is simple and well equipped.

Perfect location

Amazing location walking distance from just about anything you’d want to do, no frills but worked well for our needs. Overall I enjoyed my stay the only thing that I would have changed is the queen mattress, it did dip in the middle and was a bit uncomfortable so my back did hurt me quite a bit. I attempted to go purchase a mattress topper but they were sold out at the local mattress firm. There’s been a lot of reviews stating the same thing so I’d encourage the rental agency to invest even a small amount in making it more comfortable for guests.

Property is super convenient but that also means noisy! The beds are terrible and the shower floor feels like you will fall through it. No ice maker or any guest leftovers like coffee filters, etc.. overall, we’ll choose elsewhere next time.

Close to all the action on Duvall!

You can walk to anywhere from this property! Or better yet, rent a golf cart and the whole island is accessible. The property itself is very clean and comfortable for a place to lay your head at night. Bring your long phone charger cords. Those accustomed to charging phones by your bed may have to adjust as the plugs are in inconvenient places. (first world problems :) All in all, we were pleased with the property!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good experience...loved the location. Rental was a little dated, but clean and well maintained. More storage for clothes would have been a plus. One bedroom had a wardrobe with room to hang clothes; the other had a very small dresser. Parking spot was a great asset. More outdoor area would have been nice.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location and management company were great. The property condition was however was disappointing. We had a big issue with sugar ants in kitchen and bathroom.

A Chiropractors Dream

The location right off Duval is good and the parking spot was nice when the housekeeper wasn't parking in it. Sadly, we had to leave a day early because the beds are so bad. We saw the negative reviews talking about the mattresses but didn't think they would be this bad. We are both frequent travelers so sleeping hotels is not an issue for us. We have owned and managed short term rentals for years and there is not reason to have beds this bad. For less than $400 you can get a decent memory foam mattress and frame. We do not recommend staying here until they get some new beds.

I am rating my stay as 3-stars, mainly because there are opportunities to improve the overall experience for the customers. This property is managed by Vacasa Management and the way they are running this property is not very customer comfort focused. They are pretty much checking the boxes for amenties instead of making sure that the customer is truly having a great experience.Cleanliness: Before I get into the feedback on the missed opportunities, i want to clarify that the cleaning staff did a good job and I would rate 5-stars for their services.Missed Opportunties:- Quality of furniture: The reason i rated 3-stars for cleanliness, was since the sofas was old and worn-out and stained. Similarly, the bed/mattress needs to be replaced, as it is creaking and sagging. This was the same feedback provided by other customers few months back and clearly the Vacasa management is choosing to ignore this.- Quality of Kitchen: They say that the kitchen is fully equipped to cook, which is incorrect. The kitchen has very poor quality utensils. After repeated complaints I urged them to purchase new cooking pans since they were horribly scratched and non-stick coating was peeling. Also, the kitchen did not have any basic cooking essentials like Salt, Pepper, Oil, etc. I had to purchase everything.Note: The toilet doesn't have a lock, which was very odd.- Quality of stay: Our stay could have been much much better has Vacasa management paid attention to the customer feedbacks.

Nice place, horrible policies

The place we stayed at was as advertised. Nice, clean place in a great location. My issue comes from the rental company Vacasa and their policies. They communicated several times before and during our stay which is great. They even sent a “check out” email before we left that stated that anything that was left behind there would be a fee plus shipping and handling to return any items. Low and behold my wife forgets her toiletry bag. I call them the next day and before they will even tell me if its there or not you have to start a claim and pay $28. We knew it was there but the fact you have to pay them when it potentially couldnt be there is ridiculous. On top of this I had a family member still in the area and was able to go to the office to pick it up. Did not need it shipped. When I called they just kept saying “Its policy”. I told them they should review their policies and it is horrible customer service to charge someone just to tell them they left something behind when they just spent thousands of dollars to stay with them.

Great location but...

Location was perfect to walk to all Duval street had to offer. Con- loud trucks and tourists all day/ night. Of light sleeper note bedrooms are right by Truman St. Listing states house is 1600+ square feet. This is not true. Bedrooms are tiny, one has no place to put clothing etc. 2 feet space around bed and thats it. Wardrobe in that rook had no shelves etc so lived out if our suitcase. Also needs a place to hang wet clothing and towels. We stayed with two friends and honestly it was too small. Unit is maybe 700 sq feet. Unit inside was clean. Front porch very dusty and unusable. Many broken screen frames. Bathroom window has about 1/4-1/2 inch gap around- worried about bugs. Also was very humid in bath. Has dedicated parking which was one selling point for sure. Several times came back and maintenance was parked in our spot. Older gentlemen got very testy about Situation. We got covid discounted rate so Im still pleased but if high season going rate you might be disappointed. Location and parking is the winner. Just note it is VERY small ! Also kitchen doesnt have a decent knife if you like to cook
