Location: Keystone Ski Area, River Run, Red Hawk Lodge. Northwest Colorado, USA (1.5 hours from Denver, 8 minutes to A-Basin Ski Area, 20 Minutes to Breckenridge, 25 minutes to Copper Mountain Ski Area, 35 minutes to Vail)


ACCOMMODATIONS: Ski-in / Ski-Out 2 bdrm, 2 bath Condo (sleeps 4-6)
The Gondola and Ski School are both a very quick walk from the Red Hawk building. This is all part of River Run, the European style community at the base of the Keystone Mountain. From the pool and hot tub area you have an unrestricted 180 degree view of the entire Ski Area (see pics). It is quite a sight to behold at night, particularly while grilling out by the pool or enjoying the hot tub.

With its close proximity to the Gondola, it is quick and easy to come "home" for a quick lunch, take a break, etc. It is also that much easier to head out for a quick night run, as River Run is illuminated for night skiing. The Summit Express, a high speed quad, also serves River Run, right next to the gondola.

The paved path to the gondola is adjacent to the Red Hawk building. This becomes the bike path in the summer and continues through Dillon then over Vail Pass all the way into the heart of Vail - a great bike trip to make in the summer. You will see this path in the photos; it is adjacent to the pool area. (This is NOT blocked from the construction of 23/24)

Red Hawk Lodge and our neighbor building are the two newest buildings in River Run. As such, the buildings are just a bit higher quality, and include very nice amenities. Red Hawk's amenities include:
• free high speed internet
• heated outdoor pool with unobstructed view of ski area.
• 2 hot tubs
• steam room and sauna
• small fitness room
• pool table / TV / game room
• Private access heated garage with elevator for Red Hawk guests exclusively.
• a nice area for ski lockers so you don’t have to carry all your stuff up to the condo, taking up space, etc.
• easy (5 minute walk) access to all that River Run has to offer: great bars, restaurants, ski shops, day care, the Warren Station Events Center, etc. and of course a Starbucks.
• Take a walk along the bike path away from the ski area... it follows the river for a serene break... night time is even better for stargazing and quiet.

This unit has a King bed in the master bedroom, two singles in the 2nd bedroom, and the living room has a double sofa sleeper with an upgraded memory foam mattress. All three TVs are connected to DISH satellite. There is ROKU on the Living Room TV.

Note that this unit does not have air conditioning. AC is almost non existent in Summit County and particularly the condominium units in River Run. If the unit is too warm the remedy is to open the windows and/or sliding door. That, in combination with the exceptionally low humidity up there, provides for sufficient comfort for most people.

We used the property for our son’s birthday. He and his older brother are avid snow boarders and they were able to easily walk to the gondola/lift. The property was exactly as advertised and very comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone interested.

This property was as advertised and was a great fit for our family of four. The location only a short walk from the gondola was terrific and the covered parking and ski locker was an added bonus. The morning views were beautiful with the sun rising over the snow capped mountains. I would absolutely stay here again.

The title says it all - the balcony views were amazing and we loved the pool area. We would definitely recommend this condo. It had everything we need and the management company was very helpful. Someone even brought a fan because it was so hot. The beds were super comfy and it was a great place to relax after hiking and exploring.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the stay was for our family. We were very close to the slopes and restaurants, but it was very peaceful. The view from our balcony was absolutely beautiful. The owners were very responsive and helpful.I highly recommend this property.

This condo was just perfect for our family of 6. The condo is in walking distance to the Gondola lift where we were ready at the lift every morning at 8:15am. The condo was super clean and well equipped for everything we needed for sleeping and cooking etc. Beds super comfy, pull out couch also super comfy. Balcony was awesome to hang after a long day on the slopes to have a hot chocolate and watch the people passing by. The 2 hot tubs & heated pool was the best at the end of a long day. The village is also in walking distance which is awesome with tons of restaurant options which also has a grocery/liquor store! We loved Keystone and Red Hawk Lodge sooooo much!!! I can't forget to mention the most fun of all for our adult kids which is the fun gathering area on the 1st floor with a huge table for card games, a pool table TV with movies and fuss ball. We were down there every night!!! Thank you to the housekeeping staff. They were great as well.

"Amazing stay at a top notch Keystone property! The location was fantastic, just a stone's throw from the gondola and the main village, with stunning snow covered mountains views. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze, and both the owner and property manager were excellent in their communication. Our December vacation experience had the look and feel like of a storybook Christmas Village. Can't recommend this place enough!"

The check in box needs to be better labeled. It says if your unit does not end in 9 then enter code sent. I did this 3 times, waited half hour and then reentered only not to have code work. Called management numbers listed and got a message saying would return my call next day. My sis in law figured out to try other check in box, we got the packet, and a phone call. It took me hours to finally get checked in. The unit itself and location are very nice!Easy access to locker, gondola, hot tub, etc.

Loved the location! The only issue was the check in situation. Having to go to a management office and then having to go back for the correct parking pass was time-consuming. Also we asked to check in early if the room was ready and they charged us extra per hour for the additional 45 min.

This unit was perfect. It's on the fourth floor and has a gorgeous view down the valley. Convenient location with an easy walk to the gondola. Current construction made it a bit more difficult to get to River run but still felt like I was part of the village. The on-site pool and steam room were a plus. Kitchen was well equipped but does not have a crock pot. We were greeted by moose last night on the way back to the unit which was a once in a lifetime opportunity

This should almost be called a ski-in/ski-out. We had a 4 and 7 year old and the walk to the Keystone base was super easy. Very enjoyable experience. The property is clean, comfortable, and little things like the humidifier, the fireplace, the closet space, the condiments all made it so easy to travel with kids.The only negative is not having towels at the pool/hottub. We were told not to use the towels from our room and had quite a shock (both days) when there were no remaining towels. Perhaps check down before going or pack accordingly. Thanks again, we will be back!

The condo unit has original flooring, carpet, appliances which are 20 plus years old. Microwave was all mangled and beds extremely uncomfortable. I would not stay here again. Only positive is location. Also HOA is not taking care of interior of the building. Carpets ripped and frayed. Hot tub had numerous missing tiles. Just worn, old and not kept up.

The Condo was nice, but there were a few issues. The couch and chair in the living room were uncomfortable. The shower in one of the bathrooms does not work properly. When you pull the handle up to turn off the tub and turn on the shower, it doesn’t cut off all the water to the tub, which creates a lack of water pressure to the shower. If you like to sit out on the balcony in the morning to look at the view of the mountains while you have a cup of coffee, the sun will be directly in your eyes from about 8am to 10am. That time frame will change depending on the time of year. All three beds were incredibly comfortable and the location is excellent.

The location couldn't have been better. We were a five minute walk away from the gondola and another minute further were all the shops and restaurants at Keystone resort. The condo was cozy, but the beds were comfortable, the couch was great and the view off the balcony was beautiful. The heat was a little aggressive. We ended up turning it off and opening the windows for the entire stay. Would definitely stay there again though.
