Perfect location for a 1-night stopover in Kiel between the train and the ferry en route to Sweden from the Netherlands. The hotel is directly opposite the main train station and just 10 minutes' walk from the Stena Line terminal at Schwedenkai. Very friendly and helpful staff, a lovely big room and breakfast served until after noon (because it was a Sunday). Highly recommended all round.

Great overnight stay in Kiel. Large comfortable room. Walking distance to the old city where we had a choice of eating places. The restaurant in the hotel isn’t open on a Monday Breakfast was excellent

The staff is very proffesional and friendly. Just across the street of Kiel's train station. It has all the requirements of a good hotel even though it is not a luxurious one. Good value for your money. I would always go back.

Family Wedding

Our stay at the Atlantic was for a family Wedding.The service was excellent and the staff very attentive during the celebrations…….as far as our stay with you we found the Bed rather uncomfortable for our liking and surprised to discover there were no U.S.B.ports in the room to charge phones etc.The last night my Sister ,found her room key didn’t work, and after four attempts by the night Porter it wasn’t resolved, leaving her unable to return to her room if she wished to leave, fortunately she was next door too ourselves to call on.she suffers from Anxiety and this episode made her rather uncomfortable,but more surprisingly the only comment made from the Receptionist on check out, was it had been noted and it was an unfortunate affair and these things happen,no offer of a refund in compensation for her inconvenience.

My wife and I stayed in the Atlantic Hotel Kiel for 3 nights in July 2023 whilst visiting friends in Kiel. The hotel is quite new, I think. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever seen.
