Our South Kihei condominium is clean and comfortable, with a beautiful garden and ocean view. We've updated a number of important essentials: fully remodeled bathrooms with granite countertops and walk-in showers; new flooring in living room and bedroom; new pullout sofa (comfortable mattress); new easy chairs and ottoman to help you relax, two "smart" TV's to stream favorite shows, new high quality lanai furniture; including two swivel / rocking chairs, a lanai closet filled with beach gear, new dishwasher and microwave (well stocked kitchen for you chefs); new bedroom mattress, and new original artwork.

Kam Sands has many on-site amenities including pool, two hot tubs (one for families and one for adults), new tennis and pickleball courts, 4 barbecue areas with tables that can be reserved, and a new exercise room. Short garden walk to world-class Kamaole beaches and parks. We are located on the ground floor with private open lanai with flat grassy area elevated above the pool & spa. Lush tropical gardens are alive with Hawaiian birds. Air conditioning in the living room.

Easy walk or drive to shops and restaurants; close to boat launch for scuba and snorkeling trips.

The Kamaole Sands complex is a lush, 15-acre property that truly represents the beauty of Hawaii. The central walkway is lined with colorful tropical flowers in bloom beneath fragrant trees. We are located on the convenient 1st floor in building 5 on the inner courtyard placing you in close to all the shared amenities of this unique site. This much sought after Kamaole Sands Condo will fulfill your dream vacation while in Maui.

We provide a well stocked kitchen with a cold refrigerator and good icemaker. The lanai has new furniture (2021) with two comfortable swivel / rocking chairs, and two cafe chairs. New umbrella will offer shade in the afternoon, lanai faces due west, great for sunsets and shady in the morning The lanai closet is well stocked with beach accessories and four beach towels are provided. The new pullout sofa has a comfortable memory foam mattress. The bedroom mattress is new 2021 and quite comfortable.

Parking is easy and close, no stairs, no elevator ride.
No Smoking. Smoking OK only at Smoking Benches at N and S ends of the building.

Great location & family friendly

I stayed here with my two teenagers. My teenagers shared the pull out sofa bed which was large enough for both of them. The two full bathrooms and laundry unit were incredibly nice to have for our week there. I can not imagine having to share one bathroom or not being able to wash laundry. Being on the bottom for was very convenient. Additionally, the back door and windows offer a beautiful view of the sunrise. The pool is very close without being in direct eye view which I thought was fantastic. This is walking distance to two beaches and a nearby area where there are restaurants which we ate at all three restaurants.

Beautiful stay

Richard’s condo is beyond amazing! My husband and I went with our toddler. It had everything we needed and more. It’s on the ground level which is so great with kids. A 30 second walk to the pool and 4 min walk to the beach. Location is amazing. I was worried about pool noise but we didn’t hear anything. I was also worried about the AC just being in the living room with a timer (as per previous reviews) but we barely used the AC all week. The condo stayed pretty cool plus they have ceiling fans and two portable fans! The beds were both very comfortable. We plan on making a yearly trip to Maui and staying at Richard’s condo.

Excellent overall

The condo and location was excellent overall. The only negative and this seems to be the case in a number of places in Maui is the parking spaces are narrow and hard for anything bigger than a medium size car to open doors without hitting another car. It is open parking at Kamole Sands now so we parked in a different spot because someone else was in the condo designated spot. One night someone smashed the rental car door 5x in a row with another car door (you could tell) - looked like on purpose. That was the only issue. Suggest parking in a spot next to an island if possible for others.

Wonderful place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo and grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The condo was spacious, well-equiped and homey. The pool was such a perk. We had a 2 year old with us and it was such a family friendly place with lots of families playing at the pool. It also felt very quiet, yet only a short walk to everything you need.

Private with a view

We stayed at Kamaole sands multiple times and quite enjoyed this unit. Having a ground floor makes entering and exiting much easier than having to climb the stairs with all your beach equipment. Also, the noise levels coming from the pool were much less in this unit than other units that we’ve stayed in higher up. The unit was clean and well stocked including soft and hard coolers for the beach and car. Highly recommended.

Family vacation!

Great location, beautiful property. The condo has everything you need for you stay & you can tell it is very well cared for. We loved having beach chairs & toys. We didn’t cook much but the kitchen seemed to be fully stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

Couldn’t ask for more!

Our little family of four was so comfortable and happy staying here. It has absolutely everything we needed and the location to restaurants and beaches can’t be beat. Our trip was somewhat different because the horrific Maui wildfires began a few days into our trip. Communication with the owners was wonderful and we had everything we needed to get us through to our flight home. We can’t wait to come back! Mahalo for your generosity!

I enjoyed my stay at this property because the owner is accommodating, the check-in/check-out process is easy, the property is well maintained and has several amenities. The close proximity to the beach, activities, restaurants and shopping also improved the quality of my stay.

Good location, nice complex

The condo is in a nice complex with a well stocked kitchen and beach/water accessories. It's also a great location to many beaches in South Maui. The only uncomfortable thing was temperature control. In the morning and early afternoon, keeping doors open provides a nice breeze. However, it did get hot and stuffy later. There is only an air conditioner in the living room and it is on a 60 min timer, which was inconvenient.

Great condo!

Such a great place to stay. Loved being on the ground level for the kids to run around. Very close to to the pool and short walk to the beach. Very clean and very well equipped. Outstanding Kihei Condo

Richard & Eleanor have a beautifully appointed, enjoyable and comfortable condo that was perfect for us. They offer easy access to everything we wanted to do, whether walking to sunset on the beach, whale watching from the boat launch, fun walks or driving to fabulous hiking anywhere on Maui, with nearby restaurants and grocery stores we fully enjoyed. The condo property itself includes the bbqs, swimming pool & everything described in the listing. The kitchen has everything we need, the two full bathrooms are a delightful luxury, and the bed & bedroom totally comfortable. Eleanor's artwork is a huge plus; in short we are extremely pleased to have learned about this condo from friends and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful condo and location

I was traveling with my parents, both 85+ and this condo was the perfect fit. It's well taken care of, first floor, lovely views and close to the pool. The pool was terrific! Highly recommend and thanks for a wonderful stay!

Awesome property

We had a great stay at 5-110 at kamaole sands. Unit was well stocked with everything we needed, from the kitchen to the cupboard of beach things. Great communication from the owner. Would definitely book again. Thanks!

Lovely Condo

We loved the location of this condo so close to the pool and a short walk to a wonderful beach (Kamaole III). The condo had great sunset views was beautifully remodeled and very clean. We would most certainly rent this condo on future Maui visits.

Great place, a little loud

The apartment was great, new furnishings, well supplied kitchen, the owner was attentive and responsive. The air conditioner is wired to a 60 minute timer requiring you to leave the windows open at night and the garbage room is just outside the bedroom. Because you have to leave the windows open to cool down the apartment at night you end up hearing people dumping garbage, moving cans out and in for the trucks, ect. Also, the elevators are right next to the garbage room. People leaving for early flights are not considerate and you will get woken up frequently. We heard them yelling to each other as they went out to their cars. Because of those two things it is difficult to sleep past 6 am which was disappointing.
