We believe in the Malama Hawaii program where visitors are respected as Ohana "family" and they in turn respect the aina (place) and it's people as Ohana.
The MauiJOY 1Bedroom/1Bathroom Guest Suite is very Private area at the far end of the MauiJOY Villa on .5 Acre Private Estate.
Rent only the 1B/1B or Upgrade to the 2B/2B MauiJOY Villa (See Property 3864466)
Only one party at a time will be here so you will have the pool to yourselves.
When you stay in the MauiJOY Guest Suite, you park in the front main driveway and walk along your own Private Garden path that has motion lighting to the entrance located off the swimming pool lanai.
You enter your own private Resort with fantastic ocean views from the West Maui Mountains, across the ocean to the islands of Lanai'i, Kahoolawe, Molokini Crater and up through undeveloped land to Haleakala.
We invite you to bring your water bottles and use our filtered water instead of buying plastic water bottles.
There is a king sized bed with luxury linens in a large bedroom, a bathroom with shower/bath, washer/dryer, 40' Smart Flat Screen TV, free movies, premium linens, luxury bathrobes, beach chairs/towels and FREE hi-speed Wifi, netflix and Amazon Prime Pandora, HULU provided for our guests.

Many times we have guests in the 1B/1B with two small children and that seems to work out well. We can add a full baby crib, a single cot.

We have a security fencing we can install to secure the swimming pool area, so let us know, as we love kids and want them to be safe. We have beachtoys, umbrellas, floats, noodles, and lots of books, a variety of card games, and toys.

There are beautiful ocean views from the living and dining area. Sit by your private pool, enjoy your morning coffee, and watch the whales. This has been a favorite for families with younger children who can swim while closely monitored, and saves money too.

Located above Wailea in Maui Meadows at it's Southern border, adjacent to thousands of undeveloped acres, the MauiJOY Villa Guest Suite has breathtaking views of the ocean and night skies.
Lush tropical landscaping affords property privacy. The lower garden, complete with a Pavillion for ping-pong or set up the massage table as it is so peaceful with no buildings, only nature and ocean views, birds chirping....and is a perfect meditation or yoga spot.
There are also various organic fruit trees with Mango, Papaya, Guava, Strawberry Guava, Tangerines, Coconuts, Oranges and Passion fruit vines for your morning smoothies.
And now there is a wonderful large outdoor shower next to the banana trees to wash off after the beach or being in the pool area.


There are at least 25 love birds that visit our feeder along with finch, sparrow, and two species of cardinals, to name a few. If you enjoy bird watching, this is a good spot for that too. In fact, Uuku & Pua, hand raised love birds who fly freely in our gardens, may even stop by to say 'aloha'. If you’re lucky, there’ll be a bit of whale activity to watch from the lanai (December through April)! (We have binoculars, but you may want to bring your own.)

Many house guest have called this 'Heaven on Earth' and we are so grateful to be here on Maui No Ka Oi. We, (MauiJOY and staff) invite you to spend your time with us to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy our sanctuary.

قواعد المنشأة

Aloha Guests, We are located in a private residential area that is not hotel zoned and licensed by the County of Maui to do rentals providing we abide by their strict rules. Quiet Hours are from 9PM to 8AM during which time noise from the home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with our residential area. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries is prohibited. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated on site parking area and shall not be parked on the street. We love children however, no children in the pool prior to 8AM due to the noise restriction. We are lucky as both our uphill and downhill neighbors live in other states and are here infrequently. The lower boundary of the property is vacant land so there is little chance that anyone will be disturbed in anyway. I thought it best to let you know the Rules we have to operate under and hope you will come here, enjoy and have FUN. I didn't have this in my House Rules before but after having a quarreling/fighting couple here recently, I need to say, if you came to paradise to fight with each other, you will be evicted immediately with NO refund. Oh, one more thing, no smoking cigars or cigarettes please. If you must smoke occasionally , please use the lower garden area for that purpose with a "sand can" for the butts. This property is amazing! The backyard, pool, and outdoor shower are the stars of the property. 100% privacy day and night in the backyard. The home itself is very nice as well. Nice size rooms with lots of space and the AC works great. Wi-Fi worked with no issues and internet TV had a lot of options. Property is close to all south Maui beaches. Property is also close to Kihei which has a lot to do. Overall my wife and I loved staying here and would definitely stay here again!

Better than the Four Seasons

Absolutely stunning property. Private pool, love birds and other birds galore. Property is as listed. Watch the whales from the pool deck. We hung out at the pool all the time. Totally private. Terri was wonderful to work with. She kept in touch during our stay. She also stocked our suite with bananas, mango and other treats. The outside shower is to die for.

So relaxing! Quiet and private.

Great location and view! Private pool is so nice and enjoyable. It is so wonderful that we did a lot less running around the island and spent a lot more time at the rental. Plenty of room inside the rental house and a comfortable bed. Lounging around the pool and sunbathing for hours and then jump in the pool to cool off. Pretty close to perfect!

Honeymoon Paradise

Unbelievable property. The view and the pool is even better than the pictures. The owner is on the property but gave us all the privacy we wanted-we never really ever saw her. Every morning and sunset was an experience. Would CERTAINLY recommend! Way better than a resort.

Stunning

I've never had such an amazing view! A bit pricey but a unique property. Roomier than i anticipated. Cooked alot with no problem without an oven. Landlady is around alot which is great when you need something but not 100% private. Only complaint was a bed that sagged badly.

Exactly what we needed!🌺

This place was truly exactly what we needed! Not too fancy but perfect for us! The outside space was where we spent 90% of our time while we were at the property. There is an incredible view to the ocean and other islands. Lots of “green flash” sunsets! The beaches are just a short drive away. We loved the seclusion and privacy. The lower garden was also a great place to exhale. Thank you for a lovely stay! Next time we will stay longer!

Great location and experience

We were here to celebrate my 50th and we wanted a relaxed, private space where we could unwind and take in all that Maui offers. Happy to say this place was perfect. Teri welcomed us and was available throughout the stay but also gave us our privacy. The pool and view from the Lanai were perfect and great restaurants and beaches were easily accessible minutes from the house. If you’re looking for a private, relaxed get away in Maui, this is the place to stay.

5 Star Maui Winner!

My husband and I were looking for a special rental for our dive vacation in Maui and we hit the jackpot with Maui Joy! We are neither condo nor chain hotel people and since we would be diving daily, preferred to not break the bank at a luxury hotel. After days of searching, we found Maui Joy, reserved, and to our delight, it exceeded our expectations! Located in an upscale yet eclectic neighborhood up mountain near Wailea, the property is delightfully lush and filled with with flowering plants, coconut palms, mango, banana and many other varieties of tropical foliage. We rented the one bedroom unit and couldn’t have been happier. The large bedroom had an extremely comfortable king mattress, plenty of surfaces to lay out luggage and a large closet with many hangers and two comfy robes. The kitchen was well equipped and also included a new and efficient washer/dryer. The living room was comfortable and the extensive book collection provided a wide choice of literature and travel guides. TV included multiple streaming services. The interiors were clean and well maintained. But possibly the best part was the private pool and magnificent ocean view with Kaho’olawe, Molokini, Lanai and West Maui all part of the panorama. Not to mention the magnificent night sky with more stars then we’ve ever seen. The location is very private, with no neighbors in view, and extremely quiet. If needed, there is a connected (larger) one bedroom suite with kitchen, bathroom, living room - making the entire rental perfect for two couples or a family. Teri (manager/owner) lives on site and was so very gracious and hospitable, always seeing and responding to our every need. If you are looking for an exceptional and specialty experience in Maui that combines privacy, comfort and authenticity, Maui Joy is it!

Fantastic

We had an amazing time staying at Teri's property... the photos online don't quite do it justice. We enjoyed the pool and amazing sunsets, as well as being closely situated to beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants. A true gem

Second time we stayed in this wonderful little place. Away from the hubbub but still a short distance to shops and, most importantly, Maui’s fantastic south side beaches. We stayed in the smaller section. We all enjoyed the pool, the fantastic ocean and mountain views, sunsets and even the occasional early afternoon rain relaxing in the porch. Kitchen has the basics in this smaller section and a fantastic grill that complements it. Host was around in the property while renting the smaller section, away but very responsive and helpful with little details that came up. Hoping to come back again some day.

Relaxing paradise

Wonderful Time in Wailea

We had a great time in Wailea and this property was perfect for our stay. Teri was the perfect host giving us many good pointers on where to eat, beaches to visit, etc. The property was convenient to everything, yet away from the bustle of the big resorts. The pool and the privacy were great benefits of the property and we highly recommend it. If we return to Maui, this is exactly where we would want to stay again!

A slice on heaven on Maui...

As an avid traveler and renter, I can honestly say that this was my favourite rental. Teri has done an exceptional job with all the details within her property and goes above and beyond for her guests. Can't wait to visit again!

Absolutely wonderful

We absolutely loved this property. The location was just off the main road-close to beaches, shops, and dining. The view was breathtaking, the pool was perfect just to lounge around and the property had the tropical surroundings which was beautiful. Teri was a fantastic host. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a romantic vacation as it's very private. I could speak forever on how incredible it was. Thank you Teri for your little piece of heaven we were able to enjoy to celebrate our anniversary!

A little slice of paradise

MauiJoy provides the rock star experience of a private residence away from the crowded resort. However, it is so much more. Overlooking Wailea with amazing views of Lanai, Kano'olawe and the Pacific ocean (you are guaranteed unforgettable sunsets and star filled sky's every evening from the pool deck). The rooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped add the grill provides all you need to make gourmet meals. But, you are also in the heart of Kihei/Wailea and can find many great restaurants with in minutes as well as coffee shops, shopping and amazing beaches. MauiJoy has put together a book to help you and she has listed everything you need to know and best of all if you have a question she is always willing to provide the advise of a long time resident (get the Thai food recommended it will not disappoint). And of course there is a private pool with a tiled bottom and large enough to float, swim and play all at the same time. The pool deck is large enough to fit four tanning lounge chairs. In addition to the chairs, there are umbrella's so everyone can enjoy the views from the pool deck. The lower garden is beautifully maintained and provides fresh tropical fruit you can pick yourself (very cool). MauiJoy has built A little slice of paradise, I recommend to everyone to experience it you won't be disappointed.

Romantic 2 week Getaway for 10th Wedding Anniversary

MauiJoy is a paradise. Fresh fruit trees for morning smoothies, private swimming pool surrounded by a jungle, comfortable accommodations with an array of conveniences, Sweet conversations with the owner, easy access to beach, tennis courts, golf courses, and shopping. We will be back.

Beautiful property

Beautiful property with a nice pool and hanging fruits in the backyard. Ideal location in Wailea near the resorts and beach. Terri is very responsive and helpful for all requests. Great spot to relax after a day of exploring the island.

Your Own Private Pool. Great View. Quiet neighborhood.

My wife and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Ditch the crowded, beach front condos for your own oasis of calm, away from the traffic and chaos. Our experience was great from start to finish. Host is very hands on and personally welcomes each guest. She clearly takes great pride in the place and lives in a separate unit on the property. If you are looking for a quiet home-away-from-home that you look forward to returning to after tourist activities, this is the place. Convenient location, but tucked away in an older residential neighborhood. Watch amazing sunsets over Lanai island from your own pool. Eat breakfast in the cool of the huge private garden. Watch the dozens of lovebirds that the host has rescued as they flit about the feeders. This place is more expensive than many beach condos, but it’s worth it and may actually save you money dining out. When you’re eating at expensive, crowded tourist restaurants, you may find yourself wishing you had just gone to Costco to buy some steaks or fish and just grilled them by the pool while you relax in your own private oasis. The host provides pretty much anything you could possibly need for the beach, including beach towels, toys, chairs and bags. Older (but nice) decor. If you have more than two people, you can also rent the add-on space next door that has an extra bedroom, bathroom and bigger kitchen.

Feel at home at Maui Joy, look no further, this is a must if you are going to stay in Maui

Our stay at Maui Joy was magical. Words can’t do it justice but I will try. From the time we arrived and we met Teri we knew this was a different vacation. My wife and I both felt a sense of love and peace that was present on the property . This place is more than just a place to put your head down after a day at the beach. It’s a place where you can reconnect with the ones you are vacationing with and allow yourself to be in the moment. There are no hotel noises, or people traffic all in a hurry to get to some must see destination. Walk the property, in the morning, you will be welcomed by the birds all excited to welcome the new day, you will feel invigorated by the scents in the breeze from the assortment of flowers that display their vibrant colors, and as you take the steps down to the garden you will be greeted by beautiful fruit trees who welcome you to taste what the have to offer. Also do not miss out on taking in the Plumeria flowers growing in the garden, one scent and you will be amazed by what nature creates and feel it's ties to the Hawaiian culture. When you return from your adventures on the island, you can jump in the pool, or maybe jump into the pool when you wake up... you have a your own private pool in Hawaii while on vacation, how cool is that!! As the day comes to an end you can sit and watch the sun set from your own tropical private oasis. I also recommend doing take-out for dinner and just sitting at the outside table. You can even grill as we did, just go to any grocery store(we went to Safeway and Whole Foods) and they have seasoned food ready to put on the grill. You can enjoy great food and a beautiful view of the sunset and the glowing sky after the sunset with it’s yellows orange and purple glow as it extend across the horizon, just take it in and let it transport you to the now, the place where you are, the place where your loved one/s is/are sitting next to you and you are in this beautiful existence. Your host Teri is a beautiful, loving person so full of joy that you can’t help but feel it yourself. Say hi, maybe strike up a conversation, you might be surprised of what may come of it. Lastly the book collection, wow!, pick up a book, I guarantee that you will find a book that will speak to you, what ever question you might have, just open a book up and read. We leave this place happy to have had an opportunity to be here, to meet Teri, and to connect with this place.
