We welcome you to "Ohana Paradise," a place where time stops and you hear the ocean from your home away from home. You can walk down from your unit in less than 100 steps to the sandy shoreline, which goes for 2.5 miles from Ma'alea to North Kihei. The soft sand and offshore winds make it perfect for taking a relaxing stroll or jogging.

The Ohana Paradise unit is 1 bedroom and one bathroom that sleeps up to 4 people comfortably. The unit is bright, breezy, where you can hear the ocean waves from the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and lanai. Looking for a place to enjoy all the local scenery or venture far off to Hana or Haleakala, the Sugar Beach Resort is centrally located and within a short drive to the airport, Lahaina Front Street, Wailea, Makena,

Maui is a special place because of the aloha and ohana spirit. You can truly come here to rest and relax. If you choose to venture off for the day, there are many things to do in Maui, from nature activities in the forest, Hana, sunrise, or sunset on Haleakala (10,223 feet). You are surrounded by unimaginable magnificence from the ocean to the mountains. There is so much culture wherever you go. They are truly unique, and no other place has sunsets like these.

This unit provides you with all the amenities to rest and relax indoors or outdoors. Just a few steps away from the sandy shoreline, soft white sand, and clear waters, you can enjoy the heated pool, spa, or sauna. The kitchen is well equipped to support any adventure or activity. BBQs are on the beach, where you can enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. The bedroom has a king-size bed and ample closet and drawer space. The bathroom is well stocked with bath and beach towels and a separate bathroom vanity to fit all your essential items. At the end of the day, if you want to wash your clothes, the condo has a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The "lanai," also known as the balcony, is a perfect place to enjoy wine or dinner while taking in the ocean views. If you prefer to stay indoors, the condo provides central AC for comfort.

The Sugar Beach Resort is well-maintained and provides many opportunities to make memories. The condo is well managed and offers 24-hour support if needed. Complimentary parking is included in your stay.

This condo is fully furnished with Wi-Fi, SmartTV, and a fully equipped kitchen, stove, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, blender, coffee maker, central air conditioning, and washer/dryer. All guests need to stop by the Front Desk to register and receive a parking permit and pool access code. We have keyless entry.

The Resort also has an activity planning desk, beach rental center, a massage/spa, and a bar/sandwich shop. Take a 5-minute drive to Sugar Beach Bake Shop for fresh-brewed Hawaiian OMA coffee or decadent malasadas. Next to the bakery, you'll find the best shave ice at Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice (Kihei location).

Enjoy the beautiful pool, jacuzzi, or sauna surrounded by tropical trees. A great swimming beach and grass area are also available for you to relax and enjoy the lush landscape and ocean breeze. Lounge chairs and beach towels are available for your use.

Great, quiet beach!

The highlight for us was the beautiful view and the beach just a few steps away. The water was calm, not crowded, and amazing. They do a great job with the grounds! The concierge was very helpful and the property manager excellent. Thank you!

Great location in Kihei- Sugar Beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay. The location was perfect. Our views of the beach and nightly sunsets were amazing. Beach access,perfect,and pool access and temp were great. The condo had everything we needed. Building was quiet except for the morning rooster alarm! Feral chickens roam freely on Maui. We would definately stay here again.

Great location and amenities!

This property was in an amazing location in Maui, felt very central. Easy drive to Lahaina and Wailea. The property itself had great amenities - pool, hot tub, and beach access, not to mention the views from the balcony were amazing! The unit had everything we needed as well, including beach chairs and coolers! I would definitely recommend this place.

Awesome sunsets!

We loved this condo! The view of the sunset every night was just awesome. One night, there was a whale jumping around in the bay as we watched from our balcony with the sun setting behind the whale. Couldn't ask for a better stay!

The Views Are Great

The place is a bit outdated, especially the bathroom, but who cares? The views are really great and so is the location. Very easy access to the pool and the beach. Easy to get all around the island from here. Lots of grocery stores, etc. around. Any issues we had were addressed very quickly and the property manager responds to messages right away. All in all, a very comfortable stay. Would stay here again.

Property was very clean. People were there daily cleaning grass areas, pool and pool area, and grills. The condo was clean and quiet. The beach nearby has super soft sand and easy waves so easily able to swim here too. Can walk to the abc store and Ululanis shave ice from here. Close to the main downtown of Kihei, and other beaches, (like kam 1,2 and 3) which is nice. A good, central location for a lot of things. Was our first visit and would recommend for sure.

Great Spot, Attentive Help!

Working with the owners and property manager was super! They were quick to respond and help whenever we had a question or needed something. Having boogie boards and a cooler to use were a HUGE bonus, and the location is perfect. One thing they might need to do is clean the curtains, but there was a huge storm just before we came, so that's likely why they still had some sand and dirt on them. We would definitely stay here again and appreciate all that they did to help us make it a great vacation!

Overall impression is good, but there were 4 negatives:1. The tile in the bathroom, especially the shower floor, was grungy with black in the grout, probably with 40 years of use that could no longer be properly cleaned.2. The ocean in that area was not as clear and blue as other areas on Maui. Very few people swam or surfed along this stretch.3. Very windy area -- much more windy than other parts of Maui.4. No restaurants or shops within easy walking distance, except for an ABC store and one nice bakery/coffee shop about 1/4 mile or so away. Everything else was several miles away.

Outstanding!!!!

We were in a jam because the VRBO we rented had a/c issues. I reached out to several VRBO's for last minute bookings. We had several to chose from but selected this condo. I can only say that I was completely impressed with the owners quick responses and willingness to get us into her property as soon as she could confirm with local management. We left our other VRBO and was granted early arrival in this one. Extremely easy and professional to work with owner. The condo is wonderful. Beautifully/tastefully decorated with no clutter. Comfortable furnishings! Complete kitchen for vacation rental. Wonderful central a/c. Close/easy parking. Quick walk to elevator down to pool and extremely short distance to beach from elevator. View is perfect. Sugar Beach resort has most things you need. Location of condo is perfect distance to all things you must do in Maui. I stay only at VRBO's across the US and this by far was my favorite and best experience. She is new to listing on VRBO but don't let that stop you from confirming your reservation!!!!! Book Book Book!!!!! Thanks Lisa for sharing your property to others. Best of luck.

Outdated unit

The unit seemed old and outdated. Some things were not working like outlets and a broken luggage rack. We like the location that was close to Sugar Beach. Amenities such as pool and covered parking was great.

Wonderful condo, property, location!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Resort was well maintained, clean, and safe, with an office and actual guest services! The beach is long, in both directions. We’d walk every morning, watch the sunset every night. Condo had everything we needed. There was even soap, laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner for over the 2 weeks we stayed. Wow!! It’s just above the koi pond & pool so that was nice to look down upon. Love that they have aerobics/lap hours early before the crowds. The deck was spacious! Don’t forget to pack your binoculars especially if going in Winter/Spring! Every morning we would keep an eye out for the humpbacks, and EVERY MORNING we would see them! There were even a few days when they were JUST off the shore! Kayakers and paddle boarders would stop where they were and whales would cruise on by. Tip - if your neighbors across the way start yelling, they’re seeing whales you can’t, so run down to the beach because you’re going to get a show! Condo manager Larisa was quick to return texts and extremely helpful and nice. Had wonderful messages with owner who is so very lovely. Can’t recommend this condo enough. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Excellent view and property

This location was excellent for enjoying the day on the lanai or watching sunset. Has the feel of a resort versus other condos we have stayed at. Has a very nice pool area with nice hot tub and just a stones throw to walking on the beach. Would definitely recommend this unit. Only issue was beach chairs and umbrella was old and broken and had to call the host, she brought new ones down the following day but should be checked prior to guests arriving. Overall I would definitely recommend this location as a great place to stay.
