"Our stay at Halekulani Okinawa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff proved to be the most attentive and responsive team we’ve ever experienced. They anticipate your needs before you even realize them, creating a true luxury experience where you’re never left wanting for anything.
Every meal was outstanding—truly 10/10. The quality, presentation, and flavor made each dining experience memorable, and it was clear that incredible care goes into every detail.
The rooms were impeccable—spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Turn-down service and in-room dining were standout highlights that elevated our stay even further.
We also absolutely loved the quiet infinity pool—it was so serene, we could have spent the entire day there without hesitation.
We had seen a few reviews mentioning concerns about the hotel handling its level of business, but we experienced none of that. Everything felt seamless, thoughtful, and perfectly executed.
This was a phenomenal stay, and the team’s hard work truly shows in how valued and cared for we felt as guests. We cannot recommend Halekulani enough and would return in a heartbeat."
"We got a room in the grand cottage section (room 191). It was spacious, well clean and very comfortable. It looked like new. The park where the cottages and rooms are, is beautiful and the beach is nice too.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
The hotel have different restaurant options that we enjoyed a lot. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a lot of varieties, the best we got of our 2 weeks trip in Japan.
We loved the location in the north, in the Yanbaru national park, with access to trails and more remote places with less tourists and less people. But, because it is farther north, it’s better to have a car. I can’t imagine if we didn’t have one.
Overall, very nice hotel."
"We booked from Canada on Expedia and got a week for an incredible price including the nutritious and extensive breakfast buffet offering both western and local favorites. The hotel is quiet and offers many services including several pools, workout facilities facilities and an incredible Japanese onsen experience. I used the outdoor pools in a heavy rain, onsen is covered but experiencing the jungle while soaking was an unforgettable and therapeutic experience. Check in staff and all hotel staff are super friendly.
Many good souvenir shops and a convenience store in the hotel lobby. They have incredible evening live shows by the poolside including Okinawan drummers and dancers. Truly a memorable stay! After a week stay we got to know some of the staff and we were sad to say goodbye. "
"We had one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever experienced here. The food was fresh, delicious, and enjoyed with a beautiful view that made the whole morning feel extra special. The scenery around the property is stunning, and the small private beach creates a relaxing atmosphere that feels exclusive and peaceful.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very service-minded, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. We also had a massage that was absolutely amazing.
Overall, a wonderful experience that we would highly recommend."
