Really enjoyed our stay here the place is stunning with loads to do. Enjoyed a couple of pints in the castle by the fire and had a great breakfast the next day. The lodges are huge and very well maintained. A real getaway

Enjoyable stay, 5 star staff

Staff were amazing, so friendly and answered any of our questions or requests. Food at the golf club restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was really good. Grounds are stunning to stroll around and well kept. Comfy bed in the lodge.

Wonderful Castle out in the countryside, fantastic room, peaceful lush grounds, very helpful staff. Wish we could have stayed longer. They even made us a “to go” bag, when we had to depart prior to breakfast.

Room was perfect for my needs. The hotel grounds are just stunning Breakfast in a castle is pretty top tier! Good options for breakfast and everything was well cooked and delicious, had more a bed and breakfast feels rather than hotel with more intimate table service. I would have preferred better quality and more options with bread, rather than low quality white and brown sliced for toast that was served. I did feel this let down the breakfast. This is the only reason I dropped a star.

We stayed in the lodges accommodation which are modern and comfortable. Food in the Hermione restaurant was delicious with plenty of options. The staff are so friendly I cannot afford this gorgeous hidden gem

The place is beautiful and the castle is just beautiful to look at . I was a little disappointed with my lodge as not really a lodge like you see in the photos online as it was a lodge that was divided into 4 seperate rooms so really just a hotel like room . But it was a lovely room

Lovely hotel

Very beautiful area, castle and lodge. We hade a really nice stay in our room at the Lodge. Nice big room with a nice view. Very Friendly staff and nice big breakfast. Nice castle bar with fantastic view of the beautiful garden. Love to stay here again. Good free Parking just outside the lodge.

Property was amazing! Is an old castle converted into a hotel. Staff was superb! They were very friendly, always with smile in their faces, making sure you felt welcomed. It is a very romantic place, perfect for a get away.

Dream vacation

Exactly what you would expect staying in a picturesque castle and the beautiful grounds surrounding it. It’s like taking a step back in time and enjoying the tranquility and history of it all. Staff was very kind, helpful, attentive and the food was delicious. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!!

Nice little night away

Lovely place to stay, the lodges are separate to the castle. Short walk to the main castle And beside the restaurants. Room was spacious and the bed was big. The TV system /channels and remote not very good though. We did the small spa, which was lovely. 25 per person for an hour. Breakfast was in the castle for us as we stayed in Feb, otherwise I think the lodges are in hermiones restaurant. The breakfast was lovely.

This is a golfer’s paradise. My golfer uncle from US would love this place. I am not a golfer but stayed at the lodges to attend a wedding in nearby Athy. The receptionists were lovely and extremely helpful. I should have taken their names. A special shoutout to the manager (again I didn’t take her name) of Hermione's Restaurant Friday evening 1st May and Saturday’s morning 2nd May for breakfast. She was very friendly, polite and professional. I would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful accommodation and delicious food. If you are a golfer, this will be a dream vacation. Thank you kindly, Kilkea Castle.

Beautiful property. Very nice staff. Really cool place. Only complaint I would have is turn that terrible musack off. Do something else. Playing terrible elevator music ruins the environment
