Booked this cottage to use as a base whilst visiting family nearby and it had everything we needed for our stay. It's super cosy and clean. I appreciated the amenities in the bathroom especially as I'd forgotten mine, so that was really handy. Communication from the host was quick and friendly too. Would definitely stay again when back visiting family.
I stayed here for over a month during a university placement and it was the perfect place, the place is spotless and location was ideal for me and felt very safe, owners could not have been more helpful would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about staying here
Although it feels like you're in a magical rural setting, this property is just minutes by car from the town of Kilmarnock's amenities....quiet, peaceful, restful are just a few adjectives that apply. The main living area is open concept with a double/king bed, sofa (converts to bed), wardrobe and television and features a private patio for outdoor seating access. The full bathroom offers a shower. The kitchen provides basic cooking facilities with a full size fridge/MW/stove top/dishwasher and the supply of dishes/utensils, & c. is basic but adequate. Dining area is small but suited our group of 3. Parking is well identified and met the needs of the full size SUV I was driving. Onsite daytime support is 100% - I had no need for afterhours so will no comment. The property's road exit does require the usual care in UK driving but the rural road readily connects to town access....I did take the opposite direction which provided a traditional country drive to connect with A & M level roads. I cannot neglect to comment on the 'stars' of the site - a small herd of Highland cattle which would come and investigate us new 'tenants ' whenever we approached their pasture and enjoyed being 'scratched' .This stay provided an authentic experience with friendly support. It appears to plans in the works to expand the facilities.....I would welcome the future offers this will bring.
