"I stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and we really enjoyed it. The town is very quiet but it's a short drive to cities like Leeuwarden and Harlingen for activities. There is a grocery store in the next town over so it's a quick drive or bike ride if you need to pick up anything. Two bicycles are provided for use so I would hop on after dinner and explore the beautiful countryside. The property is spacious for two adults and very clean and comfortable. "I was a little worried when we pulled up to park at the front door as the weeds made it look a little messy. However, the inside was quite nice. Some other minor complaints could be the bad TV location in the living room, a slow drain that required cleaning in one of the showers (and slippery shower floors), and no clothes dryer. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay very much!"

"This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."

"Our Holiday in grou was wonderful. The house was really well equipped and big enoug for all of our family + our dogs. The garden is surrounded by fences and hedges. That gives you a lot of privacy and you don`t have to worry about the dogs. The garden is big enough for playing tabletennis and badminton, which we did a lot :-) Moreover there is a little ferry 5 minutes away, which brings you to the city center for shopping or visiting restaurants or doing some waterspouts. We really recommend...

"Obwohl der Wettergott nicht so ganz auf unserer Seite war haben wir einen traumhaften Urlaub erlebt. Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Mein Lieblingsplatz war am Fenster mit Blick auf den Kanal und die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe . Auch von den Ausflüge in die Umgebung mit den kleinen gepflegten Orten haben wir sehr genossen. Rundum ein traumhafter Urlaub den wir hoffentlich bald wiederholen werden"

"Ein wirklich schönes Haus mit großem Grundstück, toll für Hunde, da es von der Hecke ganz eingeschlossen ist. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es hat nicht gefehlt. Wir würden vor den Fenster und Türen allerdings Mückenschutzgitter empfehlen."

"The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."
