Quite an unusual experience for me, eating dinner with the owners, chef and others guests, then relaxing in the sitting room as opposed to spending the evening sat on my bed like a usual B&B. It really made it an enjoyable stay. Everyone was lovely, food was delicious.
Amazing experience!
Welcoming and charming hosts, friendly and interesting fellow travelers with lots of good conversation in the evening afer checking in and throughout dinner together. The chef's food is wonderful and the house staff are attentive and always learning. We are completely delighted!
We got shown to our room but then moved as the shower was in progress of being repaired. We then got shown to another room where the radiator didn’t work. The location was outstanding but they do to up their game compared to other places we stayed on the trip for the same price.
Breakfast was ok but we didn’t eat dinner. It was a bit cramped at breakfast with sharing tables. It is not a boutique hotel but does cater for a night in the highlands off the beaten track with stunning views
Whole stay was totally unique. Amazing setting, complete with deer, eagles and bats. Dinner with hosts was a lovely evening with some amazing dinner conversations. Its worth a visit to meet them.

Was a nice place but just not for me hosts were very friendly there was a set meal which didn’t really suit my tastes but there was no other choice 1 thing I found strange was sitting around a big table with guests you had only just met not forced too but you weren’t offered any other option other than that was ok for a 1 night stay bit remote nothing else around if you wanted to go out for food
Worst cooked breakfast ever, in over 40 years of staying in hotels. It was overcooked and very small. The only cooked vegetarian option was beans on toast.
£13.00 for soup and a sandwich, Bland soup and no trimmings.
£35.00 for 3 course with soup with no discernible flavour, well overcooked vegetables and potatoes we could not determine if meant to be roast or boiled.
Long drive unsuitable for road type motorbikes.
No wet room for drying wet cloths.
No tea of coffee facilities in rooms.

Had a great stay. Calvin, Cara, and Adrian were amazingly hospitable and accomodating. Such an interesting place. Would love to return. Thanks
If you are really looking to disconnect and spend a few days in the beautiful Scottish countryside then this is the place. A charming retreat hosted by a hospitable couple and their staff--all interesting, international and friendly. Delicious home cooked meals, a fully stocked bar and plenty of time to unwind. It was just what we wanted and will visit again.

This place is what it says on the box, most remote place in Britain, quaint, with the hosts Eva and Adryn, being very friendly, along with Ollie.
This is like staying with your favourite uncle and aunt at their B&B rambling country house in an amazing setting with the warmest of welcomes and incredible views.
Garvault house was the most memorable stay of our NC 500 trip. Its a bit remote but relatively straightforward to get to. Adrian & Eva (the hosts) made everyone feel very welcome and at home. The surroundings of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and worth a walk over. We would love to come back again.
