This 3-bedroom Kings Beach retreat sleeps 6, with two gas fireplaces, a chef's kitchen, a dedicated workstation and 682 Mbps Wi-Fi. Kings Beach's beaches, dining and Northstar are minutes away, so ski or paddle by day and soak by night. Steep driveway: 4WD or AWD required in winter. Dog-friendly (Fee).

    The Space:
Welcome to your modern Kings Beach retreat. The home’s open-plan living area, filled with natural light, features a modern cabin aesthetic with a mix of natural wood-paneled walls and stylish, comfortable furniture. Large glass doors open from the main living room onto an expansive furnished deck, seamlessly blending the indoors with the stunning scenery. The kitchen and dining area are perfect for sharing meals, while two gas fireplaces create a cozy ambiance for crisp Tahoe nights. The home’s smart layout includes one bedroom on the lower level, with two additional bedrooms upstairs. The primary bedroom features a dedicated workstation, perfect for remote work with an inspiring view. Two full bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs.

    WINTER AT THE LOOKOUT

Winter turns the view up. Snow on the pines, the lake a deep steel blue below, and a private hot tub on the deck to take it all in. Ski Northstar or Diamond Peak, both about 15 minutes away, or Palisades Tahoe in 30 minutes, then come home to two gas fireplaces and a soak under the stars. Storm days are easy here: 682 Mbps Wi-Fi and a proper workstation for anyone who has to log on, Kings Beach's restaurants down the hill when the roads are clear, and the hot tub steaming through the snowfall when they aren't.

    Key Features:
    • 3 bedrooms, accommodating up to 6 guests
    • Sweeping views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding pine forest
    • Large deck with a private hot tub
    • Fully equipped, modern kitchen
    • Two cozy gas fireplaces
    • Dedicated workspace for remote work

    Guest Access:
Guests will have full and private access to the entire home during their stay, including all indoor and outdoor spaces such as the decks and private hot tub. Check-in is seamless with a secure door code provided just before your arrival. Driveway parking for up to 3 vehicles (2 max in winter). A 4WD or AWD vehicle with snow-rated tires is required in winter.
GOOD TO KNOW: Steep driveway: 4WD or AWD with snow tires is required in winter. The snow crew plows the driveway and walkways, and clears decks at 8 inches. Driveway only, 3 vehicles max (2 in winter), no street parking. Hot tub quiet hours 10 PM - 8 AM. Maximum 6 guests. STR registration STR25-9621.

    The Neighborhood:
Sits in one of Kings Beach’s most sought-after hillside neighborhoods, known for its peaceful forest setting and incredible Lake Tahoe views. Guests enjoy the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience—tucked above town for privacy, yet only a few minutes from Kings Beach State Recreation Area, local cafés, restaurants, boutiques, and gear shops. The area is walkable and bike-friendly in warmer months, with quick access to sandy beaches, paddle board rentals, and lakeside dining. In winter, you're centrally located between Northstar, Palisades Tahoe, and Mount Rose, making it an ideal basecamp for ski trips. This neighborhood has a true Tahoe local vibe—quiet, scenic, and safe—while still being close to everything that makes Kings Beach one of the most vibrant and welcoming communities on the North Shore.

    Getting Around:
Getting around is simple and convenient. The home offers driveway parking for up to 3 vehicles (2 max in winter). Most essentials—Kings Beach dining, shopping, the state beach, and lake access—are just a few minutes away by car. In summer, guests can bike or take a short drive down to the lake, local cafés, and rental shops. In winter, Northstar is the closest major resort, typically a quick 10–15 minute drive, with Palisades Tahoe and Mount Rose also within an easy distance. While the neighborhood is peaceful and elevated for great views, roads can be steep in snowy conditions. A 4WD/AWD vehicle with snow-rated tires is required during winter months. Ride shares (Uber/Lyft) are available but can be limited during peak seasons, so guests generally find it easiest to explore the area by car.
FREE RIDES ALONG THE NORTH SHORE: TART Connect is a free, on-demand shuttle covering Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay, Tahoe City and the West Shore. Request a ride in the TART Connect app. Check the app for current hours.

    Other Things to Note:
    WINTER: KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

    • Vehicle: The driveway is steep. A 4WD or AWD vehicle with snow-rated tires is required in winter, not just recommended, and carry chains. Chain controls on I-80 and over Brockway Summit on Highway 267 are routine during storms.

    • Snow removal: Our snow crew plows the driveway and clears all walkways, and clears the decks whenever 8 inches or more falls.

    • Parking: Driveway only, maximum 3 vehicles (2 max in winter), and no street parking at any time of year. Kings Beach enforces this in winter so the plows can get through.

    • Hot tub: Runs all winter. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM out of respect for the neighbors.

    • Storm prep: If a big storm is forecast, buy groceries before you arrive. Roads can close or go to chain control, and the best storm plan is to be stocked, warm and in the hot tub.

    • Digital Guide: Before arrival, you will receive a link to our digital guide. It contains everything you need, including check-in instructions, Wi-Fi details, appliance tips, and house rules.
    • Security: For your security, the property is equipped with exterior security cameras facing the driveway and entrances. There are no cameras inside the home.
    • Occupancy: The home is suitable for a maximum of 6 guests and 3 vehicles (2 max in winter), per local regulations. No street parking year round.
    • Registration Number: STR25-9621

My family had a relaxing weekend getaway in this vacation house near Kings Beach. We appreciated the comfortable bed, a well stocked kitchen, and an awesome view of the lake. We enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi on a chilly evening. We highly recommend a retreat in this cozy home.
