Port Royal

Port Royal beckons with tales of its swashbuckling past as Jamaica's infamous pirate haven. This historic peninsula juts into Kingston Harbour, where weathered Fort Charles stands guard over centuries-old streets. Colonial buildings and maritime treasures tell stories of the "wickedest city on Earth" before the 1692 earthquake. Today's visitors can explore the Maritime Museum's artifacts or admire St. Peter's Church's resilient architecture. Local fishermen maintain traditional practices along the waterfront where seafood restaurants serve fresh catches. The tilting Giddy House and harbor views provide perfect backdrops for discovering this authentic slice of Caribbean history.

"The hotel is centrally located and a short walk from Emancipation Park. The lobby was nicely appointed with Island chic decor. The breakfast included was plentiful with loads of variety. The restaurant "Alexander" was full service, with many interesting choices and good prices. The Wednesday night BBQ will not disappoint. The room was spacious, clean and had a large balcony. Definitely going to return as the pool and patio bar created a vacation resort feeling in the heart of the first city that takes business and entertainment seriously. 10/10 Excellent
"As a Hospitality Operator at a Forbes Five-Star hotel, I notice the details—and this property exceeded my expectations. When we had a reservation issue, the General Manager and front desk team delivered outstanding guest recovery that immediately set the tone. Chef Kadian deserves a standing ovation. Every breakfast was authentic, fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. It didn’t just meet expectations—it exceeded them. Demar, our server, made every meal even better with his warm, genuine hospitality. A special thank you to our housekeeper (I wish I remembered her name) for maintaining our room to impeccable, Forbes-level cleanliness, and to the bar-back for his friendly service and positive attitude. As members of the Jamaican diaspora, this stay felt like coming home. The warmth, professionalism, and authenticity of the entire team made our trip truly memorable. Great hotels have beautiful rooms; exceptional hotels have people who genuinely care. This property is exceptional, and we’ll absolutely be back. 🇯🇲⭐️"
