This place was great. Super clean, amazing-friendly staff. Our family felt very comfortable here. They definitely went above and beyond. Not to mention the place was extremely clean.

An amazing and unique traditional stay in a small town outside of Kyoto. It is secluded and we were still able travel to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Kobe. Public transportation is provided multiple time every morning, and although I did a lot I highly recommend walking around the trails, and temples. My favorite temple was right behind the hotel, and it held amazing views and was not crowded at all. Location, The Design is truly lovely! Every amenity is perfection. We are architects and the collection of books in the Library/ Lobby was exceptional. If you value attention to detail as we do this will be the place for you!

Great location, super modern and clean, staff was very friendly and even had a birthday card for my daughter and let us use a Polaroid camera to make memories. They saw us dressed up in kimonos and came outside to take pictures of us. Even told us where to pose so you could see the beautiful temple in the background. Overall, this was a beautiful place and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend

Staff were nice and provided food recommendations near by. Property was located in a quiet area, except that it is next to a fire department, so from time to time you'll hear the alarm from the trucks, but it's only for a short period of time. Located near the Shinsaibashi Station (on the Midosuji Line), once off the train, it is a decent walk within the underground shopping (Crystal) malls; google maps has 9 mins (500m), but I typically can get to the hotel within 9 mins. This place is conveniently located to the downtown, the train station (by a short taxi ride), and has a nice view of the river. The beds were comfortable, small kitchen worked for us, and the washer/dryer allowed for simple, daily washing of clothes. Hinako checked us in, explained everything we needed, was engaging and charming, and arranged for a taxi pick up upon departure. We will stay again.

Exceeded expectations!

Great place and great service. Check in can take a while when there is a line. They need a better way to do that. Otherwise, very happy with the location and the hotel is modern and the rooms are convenient. You can hear the train if you get a lower level room so I recommend a higher floor if that bothers you.

Magical ryokan experience with a kaiseki dinner by the river and a maiko performance. The room was basic, but had all the comforts we needed. I did not book a room with a private onsen, but the public onsen was lovely - spotless, very hot, and no one was there so it was private! The setting up in the mountains by the river was absolutely enchanting. The service was also outstanding - everyone was warm and friendly. An unforgettable and highly recommended experience.

Piece Hostel Sanjo was a great place to stay. There was free access to wi-fi, free breakfast, clean facilities, and very helpful staff. It was in a good neighborhood, close to the markets, shopping, and subways. If you wanted to, you could walk a mile or two to get to the bigger and more well known part of the city. It was a great place to stay. I would totally come back again.

This place is amazing! I stayed here with 4 other people and it was perfect. There is plenty of room for more people but since there is only one shower you’ll need to make a schedule for bathing if you are bringing a larger group. Check in was a little confusing. I was told the keys were left in the mailbox ahead of time but the sign on the door asked us to contact the property before we entered. When I contacted them all they said was the keys are in the mailbox. I assume it was a google...

I’ve never been to a hotel that showers you with free amenities like Bali did. Even though I didn’t take advantage of it, it was still nice to experience it. Oh and also they provide free red/white wine and miso soup.
