"Everything was fantastic about the hotel apart from the WIFI is doesn’t work when connected in the rooms and there is no mobile phone signal in the rooms. So this is a bit of a problem."

"The hotel is on a flat part of Grassmarket. The Saturday outdoor market is right across the street, as is the hop- hop-off bus and at least 6 pubs and some simple eateries. Victoria street is a 3 min. walk. I loved the location. The hotel is well maintained and you can get lots of towels or tea from the cleaning staff, who are always around. If you want the hotel pub or pool, you’d have to go to the sister Apex hotel. I liked the quietness of this one. Only problem is the corridors and rooms were too hot for my liking(went in autumn)."

"Location was awesome. In the middle of things. Walking distance to the castle, stops of tours, restaurants, shopping. Room’s temperature was weird. The air conditioner would turn off by itself. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room or some ice machines in the floor. Archie was helpful giving me tips on tours and restaurants. I was also able to do a couple of hours of early check in which was great. I would definitely return here when I return to Scotland."

Apex Waterloo Place Hotel

"The Apex Waterloo is conveniently located to many of Edinburgh’s attractions. It’s an easy walk to Weaverly Station. Close to Princes Street Gardens. If you forgot anything there’s a mall right behind the hotel and the shops on Princes Street is an easy walk. Easy access to the Royal Mile. It’s my second time to base my Edinburgh trip from this hotel. I’ll use it for future trips too."
