"Our family of 15 — teenagers, adults, and grandparents — spent an extended stay at this barndominium and it delivered for every age group. The space was perfect for our group size and was spotlessly clean from the moment we arrived.The hosts clearly thought of everything. Towels were more than plentiful, supplies for an extended stay were well-stocked, and when we ran into an issue they communicated quickly and worked to resolve it right away.The location is a gem. Just minutes from Grand Marais and a beautiful beach perfect for rock hunting, with Pictured Rocks within an hour's drive and plenty of hiking trails and lighthouse tours nearby.The amenities sealed the deal. The indoor Blackstone let us cook big meals for the whole crew without fighting mosquitoes. The hot tub was perfect after long days of exploring, the shuffleboard was a family favorite, and the indoor basketball kept the kids busy for hours. Two sets of washers and dryers kept laundry manageable, and the drink fridges were a lifesaver when the main fridge was packed with food for 15 people. Beds were comfortable and the temperature stayed pleasant throughout.We're grateful to the hosts for such a thoughtful, well-equipped space. Highly recommend for any large group looking to experience the Upper Peninsula"

"The facility was nice, clean but our room needed some work. They were short staffed but all our needs were met. We were on the 2nd floor and there isn’t any elevator. That was difficult for our age dragging our heavy luggage up and down. The stairs were wide and that helped. There wasn’t any coffee maker or glasses in the rooms for a drink, taking nighttime pills or rinsing after brushing. The beds were good although a little firm for our preference. The air conditioner rattled and we thought we’d open the window since it was a cool night but there wasn’t any screen on the window. The mosquitoes were terrible while we were out and couldn’t risk leaving an open window, so a wash cloth stuffed in the door of the air conditioner helped the rattle. The breakfast was typical cereals, toast, muffins, biscuits and gravy as well as waffles and eggs. They have a bar onsite and a swimming pool. The hours for the bar and pool to be open was great. They stayed open later than most hotels we have stayed at. Overall we were pleased. We would definitely stay again. Just a couple facility needs to be addressed but not a deal breaker for the price in peak season."

"We had a great time on our UP vacation. The cabin had everything we needed, and the location was excellent because it put us within a half hour drive of most of the waterfalls, hiking and sightseeing we wanted to do. Our host was very knowledgeable of the area, and was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Beautiful lake and views to be had here."
