"Great location! Very close to hiking trails and to Munising while still feeling secluded and remote. Host was easy to communicate with and the check-in and out process was very easy. It easily accommodated our extended family of 11. We would stay here again!"

"My wife and I were very happy with our stay. 4 nights. Many areas to go hiking. Very quite and peaceful. We were able to watch the Brewers beat the Dodgers in the first 3 games. Hope they finish them off. The only downside we had and it's not the fault of the host is the gas stations are quite a ways away. We brought our SXS and if I would have known I would have brought some extra gas. Everything from checkin to checkout was great."

"We had 5 couples for SxS riding for 3 days. Fun trails and beautiful fall colors this time of year. The home is beautiful, spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. We made most meals in the home. We enjoyed the living room area and the large kitchen table as well as the game room. Highly recommend this property."

"We loved our stay here. The home was perfect for our group of 4. Cannot beat the location and frontage on the bay. Loved all the blankets and extra bedding, loved the waffle towels, the home was very well stocked and Robin, the host, was fantastic!"

"We had a great stay at the property! The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, much better than many other properties we have stayed at. The parking area was huge. There was plenty of room for four trucks with four large trailers, and there was still room for more. The host was responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!"

Plover Retreat - Cute Cabin Close to Town, 5 min. from beach

"Plover Retreat was clean and cozy. Our dog truly enjoyed the area to run around in the yard. Perfect walking distance to Grand Marais. Very comfortable sleeping. A few suggestions : improve signage re: the dangerous hill down to the stream. Update the info re the beach. It is definitely more than a 5 min walk. It took us a few tries to figure out we needed to search for the path on Ellen St. it is not well marked. We were not sure if we were crossing private property. Once we found the beach, it was delightful! I would suggest adding more glassware and pots and pans with lids that match for cooking. Otherwise we had a wonderful time with plenty of solitude, exploration and joy in Grand Marais. Thank you."
