Kinvara is a quaint seaside village renowned for its medieval castle, Dunguaire , which provides nightly banquets. Each August Kinvara hosts Cruinniu na mBad, a sailing festival featuring turf boats. There is a traditional music festival (Fleadh na gCuach) each May Bank Holiday weekend and a hurling festival. The Farmers Market takes place every Friday.
