This hotel has massive amounts of potential to be what it claims 'a five star luxury boutique hotel' but it fails to deliver on almost all fronts at present.
New management has been in place for two weeks, and we can hope they will bring this lovely place to the standard it deserves and strives for - for now however there are too many serious misses to excuse, and after 5 nights, we chose to cut our stay short by 4 days and save our holiday.
'Beach access' rooms do not have beach access, and we found our room to be quite dirty upon arrival, and scented to a sickening degree - tv and internet was not working, but the management took an immediate action and cleaned the room thoroughly the next morning, tv was fixed and a repeater for the wifi was moved closer to our room.
We were offered a free safari as compensation and this would all have been OK, if the problems had stopped there.
While the entire grounds and pool area could use some fixing up, the real let down was the restaurant, the food, the understanding of service and the prices !
Charging rp 700 for a small cappuccino is just outrageous and double what we paid at the nearby Jetwing Yala luxury resort, for a real cappuccino cup size.
The restaurant menu and food was a joke - many dishes were not available at any time during our stay, quality of the food was mostly poor and very inconsistent.
The new Czech chef tried to make a mark, but did unfortunately not manage to shine through during our stay.
