We were right in the middle of heavenly village and able to enjoy multiple restaurants, live music, and family activities all without having to load the kids up in a car. "You cannot get closer to the gondola loading. That was amazing. But beware, fresh snow comes with storms. Storms come with winds. Winds put the gondola at Heavenly on hold...A LOT. We were there for 6 days and every day the Gondola was on hold, either partially or closed the entire day. A bit of a bummer for how awesome the location is to that lift. The only options are to go to the California Lodge or Nevada side (Stagecoach/Boulder). Shuttle, Uber or your own car if you have one. Aside...
