We stayed at this hotel for 14 days - everything was fine. I’ve returned home to a payment having been taken from my credit card for £468!!!! I have no idea what this is for and I will be making a formal complaint and expect this to be retuned to me asap!!! My credit card was given to the receptionist upon checking in where I was informed it was for a $200 accidentals deposit that would be returned to me once I check out. There was NO mention of a payment of almost £500 and I did not approve of this payment - I will be taking this up with the hotel and with my credit card. This is theft. It’s as simple as that. I wouldn’t stay here again due to this as this is not okay.
What a let down. To have money taken from you when you’ve not used any facilities or any services that require payment.
After googling this I can see a HUGE number of people have also experienced this. We paid thousands of pounds to stay here for 14 days. It’s an insult that you would take money you’re not authorised to.
I expect my money back.
