Park-like setting
This house was comfortable, with a large lot that backs on the Grand River. The front garden has flowering shrubs and the back yard balcony overlooks the trees. The features of this house are as described- it is comfortable, clean and quiet. The kitchen has sufficient dishes, cutlery, glasses and cookware to make meals. You can easily walk into the town of Elora which has many restaurants, brew pubs and quaint shops. Mike the host was responsive to emails we sent prior to our arrival and checked that we had settled in on our day of arrival. He had notified us of an issue that had been reported by a previous guest- so we were aware of it when we checked into the house.

Inaccurate listing so buyer beware
Advertised having both a hot tub and a kayak - neither of which was on site. Waited until the day before to tell me that the listing was inaccurate (so we couldn’t make any changes?) even though he said he was aware the page was false representation and the last guest had complained of the same. My advice is to steer clear if you’re heading to Elora - seems sketchy at best and there are nicer and less dated looking properties for less than he was charging.

Great location!
We booked one night to enjoybsoem time in beautiful Elora. Comunication with the host was seamless. The house itself is so spacious and had som special vintage vibes! It was nice that most linens were included so we didnt need to bring those. We enjoyed our breakfast in the sun room over looking the tree back lot. The kitchen had most of the essentials. Would recommend for a family or girls getaway. Location was great too - a 15 minute walk or 3 mi drive to the main street in Elora.
