It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the moment my husband and I walked through the doors we were instantly impressed with the cozy, warm feel of this unique property. Old Style charm, well kept, clean, each room has its own personality. The lobby has chess and games, coffee and tea brewing, a fireplace and they even bake cookies a leave them in the lobby by the fire for the quests. Breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30am only (for an extra charge) and all the guests came down and ate at the same time, it makes for a warm atmosphere and the food was “10 out of 10”The staff was so pleasant and the bed was super soft.

Super charming place and nice staff. Being a histrionic building it does have its quirks like a small bed, quirky plumbing and not very good noise insulation, but that would be expected
Rooms are old fashioned but very unique and beautiful. I'd note that the noise of people walking around can be heard pretty clearly in the morning. It's old construction so not much can be done about this.
Cute, clean, and quiet. Bed was comfy. Wine in our room was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was top-notch! The inn is a really neat, historic building surrounded by nature. Exactly what we love.

Requa Inn is a gem. The building is over 100 years old, well maintained, quaint and cozy. Our room was immaculate with a comfortable bed, electric fireplace and 2 cozy chairs looking out over the river. The breakfast is excellent. Very kind and helpful staff.
Great location for 2 days in the Redwoods. No elevator and all rooms upstairs. There is “historic inn “ creakiness your not over or under and room. River views were beautiful. No restaurant but they give you many options.

Cozy Inn, wasn’t really my cup of tea. Close to the Redwoods.
An amazing gem to have fallen upon while traveling to see the Redwood National Park! I wish we had known to book a dinner reservation! The food smelled amazing!
Great bed and we had a clawfoot tub in our bathroom! I will definitely make a trip back for this little place! We loved it!
Loved the atmosphere and the staff! Great people!!! Dinner on Friday night was superb! They have a fantastic chef!
Down sides: someone kept driving a lowered Mercedes with open exhaust at the back of the property back and forth overnight Saturday night, making for a difficult night sleep. Bathroom in the room I was is really awkward to use, being more like a tunnel improv than a bathroom. Bed mattress was deformed, making it difficult to find a good sleeping position.
Despite the minuses, the plus way outdo it! The atmosphere can’t be understated: really makes you feel like you are in a 100 year old building, with all its charms. They have a line of wines labeled for the Inn that are worth trying. And it sits right at the shore of the Klamath River, just before it meets the Pacific. Wonderful setting!
I would definitely recommend it.
Beautiful garden area, unbeatable river and ocean view, great breakfast!

Breakfast was outstanding. Room was small but fine. Bathroom need’s upgrading. Low shower head and no counter space in a small bathroom. Overall the inn is fine and the breakfast was really good. The inn isn’t air conditioned but the ocean air temperature is quite cool and the room had a ceiling fan so we slept comfortably.
Great location to explore Redwoods NP, cute inn with amazing views, nice staff, and good breakfast.
Typical for an older building, you can hear a lot from the neighboring rooms. Breakfast not included and a glass of milk is $4, well ...
Very quaint hotel in near proximity to the redwood parks. Beautifully situated in its own cove where the river meets the ocean. Very serene. Staff is great.
Great little historic hotel outside of Klamath. Loved our room, the common sitting areas, river view, and ambiance. Only breakfast was served and hard to find good restaurants and good wine for dinner in the area. The hotel was great, though.
This property oozes character and the staff are lovely and very hospitable. We opted to have breakfast there which was delicious. However, it took an age to come out so if you have plans just be mindful of this.
This is a charming, historic property. It is off the beaten track on purpose, so there are no TVs and Wi-Fi is spotty. The dining room only serves breakfast, but it is FANTASTIC. The common lobby space has puzzles, a fireplace and lots of room to sit and play games or read. The view from the hotel over the Klamath River is gorgeous, and there is a hot tub, so bring your bathing suit. This property is right in the middle of Redwood National Park, so it's a great central place from which to take day trips south or north depending on the hikes or towns you wish to visit. Finally, the road that the end is on dead ends in a lookout where the sunsets over the Pacific Ocean are spectacular.
The location of the Requa Inn is ideal for those looking to explore the nearby Redwoods—it's peaceful, scenic, and conveniently close to nature. However, travelers should be aware that just about everything in town, including the hotel restaurant, shuts down around 8 PM. If you're planning a late arrival, definitely plan ahead for food and check-in logistics.
I personally appreciated the charm of the old inn—it has a cozy, nostalgic feel with a quaint lobby and a lovely view from our room. That said, my husband wasn’t as taken with the vintage atmosphere; he found the décor, especially the wallpaper, a bit too reminiscent of “grandma’s house.”
The staff was pleasant, and the breakfast was good, though nothing particularly stood out as exceptional during our stay. Overall, it's a decent place for a short stay if you enjoy historic properties and being off the beaten path—but just know that its charm may not be for everyone.
