"The stay at Silo Design & Boutique Hostel in Basel was great. The staff were all kind and showed high hospitality & great service. The Hostel is well organized and the breakfast was great with a variety of Swiss cheese. I would like to thank Nicole especially, with her kindness in helping me with Check-in formality and also with providing some ideas/ suggestions about experiencing Switzerland. "For the price I paid, sharing with a friend, it was a really comfortable, safe stay. We were staying in one of the private single bed rooms - beds were comfortable and clean, room was well decorated (loved the graffiti mural on the wall), and the bathroom was well suited. The fridge was a really handy, especially with the Edeka nearby. Only downside of the room was it got quite warm and stuffy during our stay - however it was during a heatwave and the fan/shutters did help. Staff were kind, and...

"Very noisy due to club downstairs. Very rowdy patrons. No aircon too. Eventually also did not get the river facing room as requested. "

"Returned from full day of sightseeing, FOB didn’t work (10:30 PM). No one answered call via call button. Thankfully, fellow guest let me in. WiFi is complete rubbish in common areas. Groceries were discarded prior to my departure (staff gave me complimentary salad-yum!). No electrical outlets/USB by beds. And, yes beds are RIGHT next to each other-bit weird. Pros?
