"I really used to like this hotel as its in a beautiful location. I won't go back unless they buck there ideas up, check in was 4pm, room not ready after driving for 5 hours, no bar open and it's miles away from Inveraray, 5pm given a room key and found out it hadn't been cleaned. Bar opened 5pm my husband got me a drink and manager or owner (he turned up about 16.50 ) said by the time we had the drink our alternative room would be ready. Excellent location. My girlfriend and I were convinced that we were at the best hotel in Oban. 2 minutes walk could have you at the wetherspoons by the waterfront among other fantastic restaurants. There were also two restaurants on site very nice and clean. The only minor nitpick were some dirty spots on the bathroom wall and a weird looking soiled paper towel or something in the nightstand drawer. It wasn’t a very big deal and I was able to overlook this since everything seemed to go off...

Our stay at Eriska was wonderful and full of good memories. The staff were very professional and attentive. We spent one day walking around the entire island - it was not strenuous and took approximately 3 hours and that included lots of breaks to take pictures and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The food at Eriska was top notch from the lovely breakfasts to the multi course dinners. We stayed in the Skye room which is on the first floor. It was a spacious room with a sofa and fireplace.
