Aauris is a centrally located hotel. That makes it a winner. They have tried to fit in a nice room into a small space. Facilities are good. Service is good too. Best for executives travelling to the center of the city on work. Can be ok for a couple. We chose it for 3 adults - a couple + (adult) daughter. Better to forewarn the room is v small for 3 people - hope this helps future travellers.

Don’t do it! Horrible stay

This was a horrible hotel. Front desk Staff not very friendly or helpful. We came into our room and in my reservation I was told I’d have a bathtub, no tub. The evening we got there, there was a grease stain bleeding through on left side of bed, we said something no one came. By the next morning there was even bigger grease spot coming through on right side! We told staff and they blamed us for it and said the sheet couldn’t be washed and charged us!!! Not only was it unclean but we were blamed. We attempted to make reservations for a couples massage a day early when we arrived the next evening at the spa there was only one person and we couldn’t go together. Spa people are nice but massages not strong. The food was horrible, they like to put their own spin on everything when you order you don’t know what to expect. Particularly the pizza was so bad and sauce it made us gag. The person bringing food did apologize but nothing was done. We would give a minus rating if we could. The sink was broken on the bottom, thank goodness we weren’t blamed. Beds are not soft or clean as stated. The rooms are nicely decorated but who cares if it’s not comfortable and they don’t care the way you’re treated. Also we weren’t allowed to get delivery in the hotel (after 3 attempts at eating the room service horrible food). At the breakfast buffet we asked if I could have an egg with cheese they said no we have eggs no cheese, yet it’s in the room service menu, cheese eggs. Lies about hotel doct

Never 4 stars

Very disappointing stay from start to finish. Refused to give us 2 keys for our room. Gave us a smoking room when we specifically asked for a non smoking room and then didn’t change rooms for us. Breakfast limited and poor in quality and variety, and expensive for what you get. When leaving they were unable to get a suitable sized taxi to take us to airport having waited 30mins before being informed that they cannot get taxi - I had to arrange it myself. The place looks tired and is very poorly managed - real shame as it would not take much to improve quality of service. Feels like a 3 star trying to punch above its weight.

The Hotel refused to acknowledge the voucher from hotels.com for breakfast inclusion. even after I showed them the email and hotels.com executive called them 3 times in front of me. Thanks to hotels.com for refunding em the entire amount without any hassles. The hotel is a small business hotel with sad breakfast...the quality of breakfast was super sad and the BF server insisted that the BF is not included and eyed me what I ate even after I told him, I will pay if not included. The room service was great. Otherwise a friendly staff.

Worst Hotel. Nasty foods. Never Go

Don't go to this hotel ever. The reason I'm telling you because the food is worst and more expensive than a five star hotel. The hotel doesn't allow outside beverage or food and make you bound to eat their nasty foods. My mom is aged and she cannot travel so much , she wanted to have biriyani from the Famous Arsalan and I requested the hotel Authority for the same but they denied . They will make you buy want to eat what they have on their menu and their food tastes awful.

Really best hotel to stay - good location & staff

My stay at Aauris was really good. The staff was really helpful and they really care for the their customers. Hotel is very neat and clean. Arshad from front desk was very help. He guided me to the city and told me how to reach famous places which was good. Hotel has nice swimming pool which I used and the life guard was really a nice person. We chatted about how to swim and it was so helpful for me as I am just a beginner. The only problem I had was with shower which was broken but I managed it and wouldn't rate it down for such a reason. The location of hotel is at good place. 15mins walk to Maidan Metro station. St. Paul Cathedral, Victoria Memorial is also at 15mins walk. The famous Park Street is also at 15mins walk where I have a good food and that's the same route to metro station as well. There were few places for shopping as well and did see some Bars near Park Hotel on Park Street. I got the deal from Hotels.com and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the hotel. Overall I will recommend this hotel.

This is a construction site not a hotel

This hotel is a construction site. After 24 hrs of travel from US to Kolkata with family, I was looking forward to a good rest at the hotel but to my surprise we were woken up with a large banging noise of sledge hammer. After complaining it to the hotel staff, they were trying to find excuses and were telling me that we started the work only after 9:00 am, that cannot be an excuse for a hotel claiming to be a 4 star rated hotel. My room was changed to a further room away from the repair zone on the same floor but that didn't reduce the sledge hammer noise. Our problems didn't end there, later in the day around 3:00 PM power was turned off for some maintenance work that also caused water supply in bathroom to go off. Hotel staff told us that it will take 45 min for the power to come back and there is no power backup available. Clearly they were doing some maintenance/repair work in the middle of the day without providing any prior information about it to guests. We were forced to leave the hotel and had to spend most of our afternoon and evening out on the street. My suggestion will be book this hotel at your own risk.
