Tops for a Marriott Resort
We are usually single family house rental people and this was the first time we (family of 4) stayed at a Marriott Resort on our special trip to Kauai. Highlights were communication with Ella ahead of time, her explanation about reserving a high and inside location (as opposed to sea facing), the cleanliness, comfort, climate (and noise) air conditioned control in the apartment. Special bonus was the 8-grill pit in the middle of the lagoon bridge that made cooking our Costco food easy peasy. The best part was the location with direct access to the beach, and walking 5 minutes over to Poipu Beach for the best snorkling (we compared), tortoises, and seals on the beach (saw all). For us, the only small drawback were the large number of younger children inundating the pools nearly 24/7 - that said - we should have expected this and honestly it was really not very distracting for us (my teen stil made it to a hot tub and swim once). 4 star for service since we were moved without much warning to another room for the last day (its a Sunday move day, so if you leave on Monday...), but kudos to the staff and Ella for getting us a nice view on the last night. Even though we still prefer renting single houses, this place did not disappoint and we had an absolutely magical trip to Kauai, in part because of this rental. Thanks!
